Dr. Henry James Fishman, MD

Watch out !!! Dr Fishman censors bad reviews on Google. He just set up his practice anew with every review being from either today or yesterday and all 5 stars! Who cares if a restaurant does that but very dangerous and dubious when a doctor does. There are hundreds of bad stories and reviews you guys don't get to see because they are gone now. I'm in shock to see the length this guy will go to to silence his patients. A few bad reviews from 6 years ago still stayed on his other Google page. I'm assuming he didn't have the right to remove those very old reviews. It's sad a doctor has to go that low.

Injected serum I was not allowed to ask about Fish injected me with shots and when I became suspicious about what he is injecting he did not answer my questions. I found out by accident it is the wrong stuff and not what I agreed to. I still am not allowed to know and have no access to no documentation of what is being injected into me for weeks and weeks. He treats patients like animals to injects things in and they aren't even allowed to know what is happening.

Let me start by saying Dr Canady is absolutely wonderful. She has always been kind, consistent, and has my best interests at heart. Most of the staff is fine, but a couple of nurses gave me attitude on more then one occasion. Also Dr Fishman is a bit two faced. He is very kind during your consultation to get you to sign up, but I have found him to be very condescending and rude, unwilling to take the time to talk through my care, but write me a prescription when the allergy shots didn’t seem to be working and move through to the next patient. He also pushed rush immunotherapy rather than single shots which is much more expensive so check with your insurance first to see what they cover. Ask Fishman allergy for the charge codes for this service because this is a regular doctor visit per hour (so 2-3 hours x 80 I believe is what they bill for doctors visit) and with rush immunotherapy you go in multiple times. You could be billed $240 for each visit in the beginning and your Insursnce… may not cover all that. For single shots it’s like $30 because you’re not seeing a physician, just a nurse. So single shots is a more affordable option that rush immunotherapy. Because I didn’t do a good job of checking with my insurance I paid like $4000 out of pocket when all was said in done. Dr Canady was incredible and empathetic throughout my journey there and helped me every step of the way, Dr Fishman just wanted to bill more. I went for 2 years, the allergy shots didn’t help me in the end.

My son Javier had a severe asthma condition when Dr Fishman started treating him six years ago. Besides a few minor asthma crisis at the beginning, Javi has been in excellent shape thanks to the effective therapy and adjustments to treatment over the years.

Fishman is a very rude doctor, but he is very good at talking and not solving my problem. Certainly avoid this guy.

I strongly urge you to not see Dr. Henry Fishman - he has a total disregard for common bedside manners, will recommend multiple medications from the same company which has filled his office with free gifts, and is known for filling extraneous claims and making false promises.

Aggressively treats asthma and allergies. He treated my son from age 6 months - 22 yrs old (son has different insurance plan now). Dr. Fishman was instrumental in discovering that my son had a brain tumor at age 9. Over the years he has recommended various specialist for a myriad of conditions and illnesses for my son and other family friends. Yes, Dr. Fishman is quick acting but he's bright, knowledgeable and a very good pharmacologist.

Unfortunately, he stopped listening to what I had to say and diagnosed me based on past experience not current symptoms. He just wouldn't listen. I went to another top rated allergist who diagnosed me on my first visit, listened to everything I had to say and prescribed a treatment plan that has provided relief and significant improvement. His staff are very nice.

I first saw Pat (the nurse) and she gave me 3 simultaneous meds for my asymptomatic asthma (Ive had one attack in my whole life and it was due to severe bronchitis). It was totally out of line. She claimed it was better to ease off several drugs than to waste time figuring out which works best really? For asymptomatic asthma? Thanks but Id prefer not to be a testing field for pharmaceutical companies for an issue I barely notice anyway.When I came back and complained about the multitude of side effects from the very strong drugs, she simply gave me 3 different strong drugs with the same side effects!Then, Dr. Fishman gave me what he claimed was a smaller dosage of a similar steroid inhaler. That also had side effects. He also wanted to start me on additional meds for a disease that I cant find anything about on the internet. Ive stopped taking those terrible meds and am now on natural supplements for lung health, with an appointment to see a real pulmonologist.Don't waste your time… with these people unless you have severe asthma problems.

I had one mediocre and one bad experience at this doctor's office. Overall, Dr. Fishman and his staff I found do not listen to you. They forget the problems that you told them about, and literally, the doctor cut me off while I was explaining my symptoms to him. 7 prescriptions later, I'm still not feeling better.
