Dr. Hilda Daniel, MD

If you are looking for a trauma informed doctor, this isn't the one for you. I never got advice on how to manage my PTSD, anxiety, and depression, only offers to keep increasing my Zoloft. The thought of talking to her made me uncomfortable. Her crossed arms and lack of bedside manner was appalling. I could barely breathe, let alone listen to her minimalize my conditions any further. I've been under psychiatric care for over 20 years and Never, EVER, have I had a "care provider" minimalize and insult me in such a condescending way. My advice is to have more compassion and get to know your patients before making assumptions that can trigger someone even more than they already are, especially in such a delicate field of work. I will never return and I feel like she couldn't care less if I did. Don't treat s*xual assault survivors, abused, suicidal, people like they are lesser than others. Her receptionist Angela is the only good thing about this practice.

Dr. Daniel has been a constant in my life for 6+ years, and there is no other psychiatrist I would ever trust with my mental health. Before Dr. Daniel, I visited other doctors, who were quick to judge, not concerned with anything but writing scripts, and didn't remember my name until looking at my file. Immediately upon walking into the office, I am always greeted so kindly by Angela, Dr. Daniel's administrative assistant. There aren't enough kind words to say about this woman as well. Even when I call, Angela recognizes my voice on the phone and greets me with a happy 'Hello _____!!'. Instant smile. Dr. Daniel takes ample time with me to talk through everything to make sure she is as accurate as possible with medications and recommendations. I'm not just another time slot to her. She is truly interested in my life, my progress, and my overall well-being. She asks about the latest sports tournament I participated in, how my job search is going, etc. Her honesty, passion for… her work, and talent is so comforting as a patient. My success as a young professional can be greatly attributed to Dr. Daniel. As someone who lives alone and works in a high stress field, it is so important to have a doctor like Dr. Daniel in my life. I cannot thank her enough.

She can be brusk at times. She's very strict with regards to missing an appt. You will need to pay for the missed appt before you may schedule another. You'll pay about $ 35 if you're late.

After 16 years of serious ups and downs in my life. Years of serious depression. I finally trased the start of my issue to 2003 when I was seeing dr. Daniels at the ages of 9, I was over prescribed all kinds of medication for adhd. I wasn’t able to sleep for days, didn’t eat for days, an I hate a fear of shadows trying to attack me. Every time I mention this my does of adderall went up.

Dr. Daniel is the only psychiatrist I trust after seeing her for at least 15 years.

Dr. Daniels is pretty good. Although, Angela, her assistant is absolutely unprofessional and rude. I've never experienced something like this in my life. Considering the clientele, her actions or lack there of could potentially be life threatening. The way Angela speaks to patients is degrading. her attidude and snarky remarks have made me hysterical three times now.

It is my personal opinion that Daniels should not be allowed to practice. Not only did she illegally bill me, over-charge me and generally seem to have an unamicable and aloof attitude, her treatment ideas were devoid of any appropriate pharmaceutical knowledge. She increased the dosage of a medicine over the generally accepted maximum dose. More importantly, she suggested switching one of my medications, which had a contraindication with another one of my medications. Fortunately, a previous doctor had mentioned this contraindication to me before, and I brought it to Daniels attention. I have come to realize that this contraindication was very serious, causing serotonin syndrome, which can result in a life-threatening However, the reason I say that Daniels should not practice is not solely for that mistake. It is because when she attempted to prescribe me the same medication, with the same contraindication, at my second appointment, and I, again, had to remind her of it.… The insurance and billing situation was also incredibly inconvenient and illegal, and when it was (finally) addressed, this doctor and her staff were unimaginably rude and unhelpful. I have been in-and-out of doctors offices for the last three years, going through periods where I had three or four appointments a week for a few months. I've been to more doctors than I can remember. I'm fortunate to only have a few bad experiences. I've only disliked a few doctors. And this is the first bad review I've ever written. But all I can say is do not go to this doctor. Do not waste your time and do not risk your health. Don't go.
