Dr. Holly Marie Bastian, MD

She seems to be genuinely concerned with my problems. and spent a lot of time with me on each visit. Very knowledgeable.

I was very nervous to see a rheumatologist-my mom has very advanced and painful rheumatoid arthritis and I was having some symptoms I thought needed to be checked out. She asked tons of non-leading questions and did some physical tests. Her answers and suggestions were sensible and allayed my fears. She does have a more serious demeanor, but made the effort to smile and make some small jokes to put me at ease. I can tell she is very intelligent and her mind was constantly processing what I was saying. Other reviews mention her bedside manner as being lacking, but I found her approachable, relatable and caring. If I do eventually have more serious symptoms, I would trust her and feel comfortable enough to return.

Dr. Bastian is extremely.....rude and has no personality. I had two appointments with her. After the first appointment I almost did not want to see her again, however I believe in giving everyone a chance. When I had to deal with her the second time I now know for sure I will no longer be a patient of hers. She is impatient, she snapped her fingers at me and told me to hurry up and fill out my paperwork. When she ask you a question and you try to explain she then cuts you off. Dr. Bastian does not listen and does not seem to care. She has a very intimidating personality. I have been in severe pain for a while from my head to my feet, my days vary. When driving I sometimes have to pull off the road to rub and stretch my feet. Dr. Bastian did not seem to be sensitive to my needs as a patient, therefore I will not be back.

Her bedside manner was terrible. Instead of trying to help me with my pain, she was telling me she didn't order narcotics. Like that's the only reason I was there. That's stupid!! I'll probably find me somebody else.

I saw Dr. Bastian twice and both times she seemed to fall asleep! She closed her eyes and my husband and I just looked at each other with a "really???" shock! She repeats herself and does not seem to be intelligent.

Dr Bastian was so inconsiderate and I would give her a negative 1 on the bed side manner personality. I wasted a year seeing this doctor. I think the state board needs to review her as a doctor.

I REVIEWED THIS DR. SOME TIME AGO. MY REVIEW DOES NOT SHOW HERE. I WAS HER PATIENT FOR ABOUT A YEAR. IT WAS THROUGH HER IGNORANCE THAT I WAS MISDIAGNOSED AND NEARLY DIED. I WENT TO PIEDMONT RHEUM. UPON AN EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD RECOMMENDATION (THE BEST IN GREENVILLE). SHE WAS ONE OF 2 DRS. TAKING PATIENTS IN THE PRACTICE. SHE DENIED MY HAVING TOLD HER THAT I WAS HAVING PROBLEMS DUE TO THE INFUSION THERAPY, REMICADE. IF SHE DID RESEARCH PRIOR TO COMING TO GREENVILLE, PERHAPS SHE SHOULD GO BACK TO IT.

She is very serious about her job and really spends a lot of time with me to hear of my issues. Most doctors rush you through so fast that you feel they just want your money. Highly recommend her!

She was nice enough, I guess, but seemed to be incompetent. She couldn't remember what tests she had ordered, and relied on others to interpret the ones she did order. She dithers and won't come to a conclusion. Sometimes, a whole appointment will go by and absolutely nothing is accomplished, the she will say to make another one!

I had severe RA and she was the most unhelpful "Doctor" I have ever had. I work in the healthcare field and have told others about her non existent bedside manner. Literally was an all day appointment because she just repeats what you say and is in slow mode. Terrible experience. I feel bad for those sent to her.
