Dr. Howard Jay Entin, MD

Dr Entin is, by far, the best I have been counseled by over a number of years. He is professional and extremely knowledgeable, but easy to speak to, as well. It is difficult to believe that someone would give him an unsatisfactory review. In my opinion, he is an outstanding doctor.

The practice does not support our military! The practice used to be with Tricare and while someone I know was trying to get care and was trying to get approval for out of network. They very clearly stated we ONLY see existing Tricare Patients and if Tricare won't create a care plan exception they would charge full rates. This person cancelled their appointment 30 minutes after the 24 hour cancellation policy hoping that the details would be worked out with Tricare. They still billed the service member full price for a no show. The practice knew that they were working on the care plan exception with insurance and they showed no compassion. I personally would never see someone in this field with this lack of compassion. The military is working so hard to make service members mental health a priority and it is doctors like this that are creating a lack of care for our military and their family.

Dr Entin clearly knows his stuff. He is gentle and softspoken but also forthcoming with information about medications and personal isssues. He is easy to talk to and has many years of valuable experience. I recommend him highly.

I am a patient of Dr Entins and I am better off for it. I've seen other doctors and none can compare to his insigtfulness and professionalism. I saw other doctors that friends recommended and they just weren't for me even though my friends love their doctor. It is extremely important to find a good match with someone you trust for your mental health care. Because if you don't have that, even the best doctor won't be able to help you. I also went through an extensive search for a doctor for my daughter, who is bipolar. Of coarse I started with Dr Entin but there was no chemitry so we kept looking. It is so important to find the doctor that is right for you and it won't always be who is right for someone else.

I just read a reviewer calling Dr. Entin a smuck. I don't think we know the same doctor. The doctor I know is extremely thoughtful and spot on with his diagnosis and advice. He has always returned my call the same day, too. In fact, he is always prepared to see me and asks for an update on issues from the previous appointment. Same doc? I don't think so. Clearly that reviewer had a problem but I doubt it was Dr. Entin.

Dr. Howard Entin is a smuck. He gives advise like they were candy and doesn't consider the impact his words can have on an individuals life. He is arrogant and snide. His other professional staff are wonderful as long as you do not have to deal with him. His own staff will admit that he has the beside manner of a cactus. And has very little good to offer but sets on a thorn of his own almightness.

I am bipolar and have been over and under medicated by at least 4 other doctors. Dr. Entin nailed it and I have never felt so good in 20 years. He is compassionate, insightful, punctual and accommodating. I find the staff to be extremely efficient and kind. Who said it was their job to gush over me? Most psychiatrists don't even have a staff. I would refer this office to anyone and have on a number of occasions.
