Dr. Howard Steven Nass, MD

I can see why so many like this Dr. He has a caring attitude towards our daughter and is very personable, however I am not looking for a friend, I am looking for a professional that will look after my daughters health. Our experience with Dr. Nass has been short of a nightmare. We are first time parents, every concern we have is always met with push back, and he completely invalidates it. His go to answer is "that is normal". When our daughter was 2 months old we noticed how bad her colics were, we noticed this happened shortly after every feeding, the skin reactions and the crying was extremely concerning to us. We brought this up to his attention on multiple visits and we were met with the usual "that is normal", or his favorite go to answer "lets ask baby and see what she says". We were concerned about our babies well being and even though she is our first baby, we knew the skin reaction and the non stop crying was not normal. After doing our own diligent research my wife raised… concerns that she might be allergic to breast milk, to which he answered breast milk is the best option. After months of frustration and reading online we decided to ask for a referral to an allergist, Dr. Nass VERY reluctantly gave us the referral, stating the allergist wouldn't do anything he hasn't already done. He told us babies at 6 months old have no allergies and there's no test to determine allergies on a 6 month old, we had to be firm and borderline rude in order to get the referral. When we visited the allergist we quickly found out there is in fact tests to determine allergies in a 6 month old, we found out that day our baby is beyond lactose intolerant, she has a SEVERE allergy to milk, and a mild allergy to eggs (which she out grew, thanks to recommendations of the allergist). The allergist immediately got her off breast milk, put her on hypoallergenic formula, and proceeded to ask us why we waited until 6 months to bring her in. When we told him what Dr. Nass had said to us he was shocked at sheer amount of NEGLIGENCE. We did not return to Dr. Nass for quite some time, yet we decided to stay because he was nice to our daughter and was personable. Today was our last straw. We reluctantly returned today for our 12 month visit, our daughter is now 14 months old. Our daughter has been suffering from constipation and has had very apparent stomach issues, we expressed our concerns and again were met by the same answers "it is normal" when asked how long she will be suffering from these severe constipations his answer was "until 24 years old maybe more, maybe her whole life", what an incredibly NEGLIGENT answer, she has a clear history of stomach issues, why are we not collecting poop samples? why are we not being referred to a specialist? he then tells us he has to draw blood to test for led poisoning and blood count, he sends in the lady from the front desk to draw blood from our baby, she proceeds to poke our baby 5 times on the arm and another 5 from her hand, we ask her to stop as she is clearly hurting our baby and not drawing any blood, she returns to the room and tells us she is going to draw the blood from her fingers because its "easiest way", if that was "the easiest way" why didn't she do that from the beginning? why did she dig through my babies arm and hand repeatedly, we got our baby dressed and left the office. I question how Dr. Nass is still providing "health care services" to children, I am in shock at the negligence which we have been treated over the last few months. I am beyond frustrated, our daughter has SUFFERED at the behest of this man. I left Dr. Nass's office today feeling like a terrible father. Had I listened to Dr. Nass and kept feeding her breast milk or other dairy products, who knows what would have happened to my daughter. No one should have to experience what we experienced with Dr. Nass, it is CRIMINAL. If you are looking for a pediatrician that actually CARES for the well being of your child, I would urge you to look elsewhere. Stay as far away as humanly possible from this place.

I took my child out from this practice. Horrible wait times that at some point we waited for 2 and a half hours! Only when we started complaining about the long wait that they paid attention. The most horrible experiemce was at one time the doctor lost his cool. We were scheduled for shots. His front desk misinformed him we are coming for a sick visit despite putting the appointment for well. After he saw us and made whatever sort of checks, I asked how many shots is he getting today he was shocked and said no you’re in for a sick visit. I told him no. And verified with the front desk. He became angry and sarcastic at US! And seeing his change of behavior and was all red in the face, I was afraid for my child. He just went in and without compassion stuck the needles to my child’s legs! It is horrifying enough for these kids! Their incompetency and this doctor’s FAKE sympathetic character can be traumatic to my child. Am absolutely not paying for that!!!!

Professional, knowledgeable, and caring!

I am so happy to have found Dr. Nass, through a referral from a friend. Our children have been his patients for the past 15 years. He is a wonderful pediatrician, who spends quality time, with you and takes the time to answer your questions is not afraid to pull out his research books for our reassurance. He also does follow-up by phone. My children love him and his staff. They are always very accommodating, even at the last minute. Our children feel very comfortable being around him. His staff is always accommodating and helpful. We feel like family, special and loved! We are so happy that we found out about Dr. Nass and his practice!

Extremely pleasant with children(my son loves him),very thorough,explains everything in detail,you can see he knows what he's doing.Office staff is pleasant and you don' t have to wait long.I will recommend him to all my friends.

let me begin by telling you how it's all started.My 19 mounth old doughter have a fever for the second time in one month, i begin to worry like every normal perent would call the doc office they told me to come in at 1:30. I came around 1;45 they took me in the room

Dr. Nass was my pediatrician and now he is my childrens doctor he is very kind,knoledgeable,and an overall really good doctor i would recommend him to any parent looking for a pediatrician.

Very frustrating to get needed help urgently. Especially for prescriptions. Had to to leave office after 40 minute waite and get prescription over the fax for asthma for my child.
