Dr. Howard Rolins, MD

Very thoughtful doctor bedside manner. Very senior patient listened and joked when conversation lead to that point.

Dr. Rollins is both proficient and efficient which I really like and respect.

Dr Rolins asked about any concerns and did a thorough examination and I left very satisfied that I was taken care of!

Dr. Rolins was the only doctor we could find that would take new patients when we moved to GV about 15 months ago. Shortly after my wife andI made our initial appointments. When my wife received the exam report it had noted that she had diabetes. I called and of course you cannot talk to the doctor directly so I left a message that he was in error and we did not want the mis information left on her record. We were pleased that he called my wife and apologized for the error stating that he had hit the wrong box on the computer and would correct it. Several months later my wife went unconscious at her birthday dinner at a fine restaurant in North Tucson and the manager called for an ambulance. I overheard the emergency room crew discussing her evaluation in as much as she was diabetic. I quickly intervened and advised that that was a mistake and that she did not have diabetes and they responded that they had to go with what was on her record. After her release i called Dr.… Rolins office and said that her record had never been corrected and that needed to be done so any future care would not be wrongly determined based on that mistake. Again at a follow up appointment with Rolins I reiterated the situation and asked again that it be corrected and he said he thought it had been done. Then on a subsequent doctor referral it came up again at the doctor office and I had to explain again that it was not correct. I called and left another message for it to be corrected. Then when I found again at an even later date that it was still on her record I was upset as this could result in an inappropriate treatment down the road so I called and left a message again and asked something to the effect 'do I have to get an attorney to get her recorded corrected?' Then this month we both got a letter from Dr. Rolins stating that he would no longer serve as our GP siteing 'recent events' so I called and said this was not good timing for me to have to change doctors as we had been rear ended on a visit to our daughter in LA, which totaled our car and left us with numerous physical injuries, and his assistant stated he would no longer serve us because I used the word attorney. So we had to find another GP. Bottom line... Dr. Rolins made the mistake, never corrected it on her record as promised numerous times, and when I asked if I had to obtain legal counsel to get her record corrected, my wife and I have to pay the consequence of his mistake. I have no respect for this man whatsoever and consider him very very low in character.

This is a well run office. Came to them from a pretty chaotic one and really appreciate their professional approach . Dr. Rolins is busy, but still takes the time to listen and pay attention . So happy that I changed to Carondolet and Dr. Howard Rolins.

Nice office and very nice staff. Happy to have Dr. Rolins as my doctor for years.

Dr. Rolins has been my doctor for years and always makes me feel like I am his priority.

I had a bad experience all the way around. His staff was rude to me on the phone. I was trying to give her my last doctor's phone # and she hung up. I was so upset she was not taking the number. I went into a-fib that night. The next day she called back to my house and yelled at me and saying she didn't say what she did say Yada Yada yada. When I went to see Dr. Rolins he was not very nice and said that his staff was saying I was being difficult. He was rude and I left feeling betrayed by his staff. I am never coming back. I can't trust these people. I can't go to a doctor where they gang up on me and are mean. I had the same doctor for years who genuinely liked me and cared about me. I can do better. I would say his staff wasn't being honest with him about what took place. But a doctor is only as good as his staff. I feel icky about the whole experience.
