Dr. Hung Thanh Nguyen, MD

Doctor Hung Nguyen did not know how to connect the dots. That means he did not gather all the information of the patient's illness history as needed such as how much the health improved or not from the last check-up or a year ago and the side effects of his prescriptions giving to the patient. When I reported to him that I could not eat and felt like a pregnancy nausea because of many strong dose of prescriptions, then he said nothing about that, but keeping adding other strong different kind of drug. I have had suffered that to my health condition within 2 years from my healthy kidneys to the stage 5 kidneys disease. I have visited the other doctor and now after 1 year, my kidneys is healthy and back to normal condition again.

Dr. Nguyen is very patient, listens, and appears to genuinely care about you, his patient. I recommend Dr. Nguyen!

So I have Blue Cross Blue Shield with my parents. We chose this place because Dr. Hung & Dr. Susie can speak Vietnamese, which is better for my parents and I did not mind. Not until I switched from Laura (his former Nurse Practitioner) and started having appointments with Dr. Hung. Dr. Hung can be an extremely unprofessional doctor. He is rude, not caring with a cocky attitude. I waited for 20 minutes and talked to him for almost 10 minutes before I was "rushed" to walk out and pay the $30 fee. It was a crappy experience every time ( 3 times). I would not recommend him at all to anyone, at least not to Vietnamese community. My father, grandfather AND uncle all had the similar experience with him. My mother who has Dr. Susie told us that she's a lot more professional and actually cares. I will be switching to her instead and probably going to stop visiting Dr. Hung's office in the near future altogether. This review was written on the day of the visit.

I first met Drs. Susie and Hung as they started practicing in Houston. I found both to be considerate, caring, compassionate and extremely knowledgeable. Appointment waiting time is minimal, both listen, suggest, discuss and then plan a course of action. I have been blessed to have them treat me in the hospital three times, and I could not have asked for a better plan of action, comfort and humor. My children and grandchildren see one or both of the doctors, and have no hesitation in going to see them. Thank goodness I met them, and have had almost ten years of quality care from both of them.

Both Dr. Hung and Dr. Susie are excellent. I have referred relatives to them and everyone is very happy with the care they receive. Both Doctors and their staff are friendly. I have never had to wait long to schedule an appointment or in the waiting room. I've contacted them after office hours for a couple of emergencies and got the Doctors, not a machine or a service. They are both wonderful.

Doesn't listen to patient. Can be rude and curt. I have given it a year - I will be changing doctors. Get feeling of being rushed every visit.

Dr. Hung is very well trained and a good doctor but his patient skills can sometimes be abrupt and he seem "uncaring" or cocky. Probably with age and maturity this will mellow out. Dr. Susie takes more time to really listen and seems to care more for her patients.

Dr.s Hung and Susi Nguyen are the most giving doctors I have found. Two years ago when we moved to the area we needed to update our doctors. So according to insurance guidelines we went to their office and we have not left! We have been blessed to find doctors that are willing to take the time you need and to research all angles. They are genuinely the nicest family doctors we have.
