Dr. Huy Minh Phan, MD

Dr. Phan recently installed my pacemaker. From an office visit in which he explained the procedure in depth, to the surgery and care around it, I couldn't possibly have found a better mix of expertise, professionalism, patience, good humor and empathy than in this superb doctor. At 88, I found him and the atmosphere he provided to be reassuring and altogether comforting.

Dr Phan is the first Doctor to treat me like an intelligent person who wants to understand things. He did not come into the room with his script pad and using general statistics about someone my age try to get out the door. He explained things and gave me options that allowed me to choose what would be best for me. I have told all my friends that if they need a Doctor that treats the individual, Dr. Phan is the one to choose.

After working with Dr. Phan for my out of control AFib, I'll never go to another Electropysiologist. His staff is kind, helpful, and patient. He is a hands on Dr. Calm but take charge. I even recruiters a thank you note from him thanking me for trusting my care to him.

I recently became a patient of Dr. Phan and really like how he looked at my medication and made changes as the standard cocktail I was prescribed was not going to work. He took the time to talk with us and listen and understand . Great personality.

Selected Dr Phan to perform a heart ablation to correct a atrial flutter. He explained the procedure with aid of a diagram and a model. He answered all my questions about risks. I trusted his expertise (20 years) and went forward with the procedure. The staff did a great job getting all approvals and scheduled at Chandler Regional. Dr Phan met me in the per-surgery prep area and reviewed what was about to take place. He is very friendly and personable and assuring. Took about 75 minutes and back in recovery. Thanks to the use of a new device to stop bleeding of the main vein, I was discharged in 2 hours with no problems. Four weeks after surgery at the FU appointment, Dr Phan ordered one week of 24/7 heart monitoring to verify the atrial flutter has been removed. If you have AFIB or AF, go see Dr Phan

Dr. Phan is an excellent cardiologist with great expertise in electrophysiology. After several months of care for my Afib condition, Dr. Phan's ablation procedure restored my heart to a normal sinus rhythm. He also referred me to a pulmonologist after seeing some nodules from old valley fever I had. Dr. Phan is very mellow, personable and humorous. When I told him even his office is a joy to visit (Zen style decor, spa music, small waterfall, etc.) he modestly credited his team.

I and my sister have been going to Dr. Phan for several years. He is well known for heart rhythm issues and now is doing the Watchman procedure for those who qualify and need. He is an excellent doctor who cares about his patient and their well being. He did the Watchman on my sister and has helped me with my issue of falling by regulating my blood pressure issues with micro chip readings. We are so happy to have him as our doctor. No one better....
