Dr. Hyun-Suk Chong

In my opinion Dr. Chong should not be treating patients in Arizona. Almost two years of going to this 2 star rated clinic and my feelings have not changed. He is condescending, and does not care about how the patient feels. He does not offer up much helpful information about your condition, and he wants zero input from you on your medical treatment and decisions. He doesn't take mental health seriously, as it is intertwined with physical ailments. I've left these appointments genuinely worried about my health, and left being more confused about my issues and treatment. But if you have no questions, and take what he says as fact, then maybe you will like this doctor. Also, if you are not informed or don't want to be informed on your own body, feelings, and health conditions, then I would recommend Dr. Chong to you.

I have been seeing Dr Chong for better than 10 years now. I have Graves disease and he got it under control. I have referred many of my friends to him. There is sometimes a long wait but all doctor's office today have this problem. For me its worth the wait to see him. I see him every six months.

I went to this doctor because I was referred to him I would not bring my dog into see this doctor he is the worst and he basically told me the weight I was gaining is not from my thyroid and I have the proof that it is

My doctor sent over his notes the day he referred me. He never looked at them prior to the visit and then dismissed them after a two second glance. He was condescending and did not listen. I will definitely get a second opinion.

Dr. Chong is very compassionate and thorough. Another doctor told me I probably couldn't have a Reclast infusion that I need for my osteoporosis. Dr. Chong orders one for me every year,as needed. He even gave me some information on Type 2 Diabetes for my husband. You may have to wait sometimes but that's only because he takes time with you when you need it.

I was diagnosed with Graves disease 4 or 5 years ago. Dr Chong was able to get it under control and manageable to where I have no visible symptoms and feel much better. Dr Chong is very personable and takes the time to talk to you and answer questions. When looking for new insurance I made sure his office accepted t that insurance. I have great confidence in Dr. Chong. We need more doctors like him.

I have been a patient of Dr Chong for over 7 years. I went to him in his other office. Yes you have a long wait for any doctor these days. I was told I had Graves disease and with his care I no longer have to take the thyroid medicine anymore. If I have questions he answers them and I would not go to anyone else than him. He takes his time with me when I see him. I see him 2x a year. I always tell my friends about his excellent care. He takes the time to listen to my concerns.

Dr. Chong was preoccupied during the entire visit, talked over me and blew off most questions I had. My follow up appointment was cancelled by his assistant who gave me advice on a condition that was not mine? I asked several times to have the doctor call me back to explain labs and medication, still no follow up. I received yet another message from Dr. Chongs assistant saying just do another MRI in six months. And that folks is a caring and professional doc???

I wish there were more doctors in this world that were exactly like Dr. Chong. I feel as though I could never do enough to thank him. Dr. Chong gave me my life back. I thought I was dying from some rare form of cancer, when in fact was suffering from an autoimmune disease, which Dr. Chong had a lot of experience and knowledge about. Dr. Chong listened to what I had to say, and was very patient and good at explaining things to me. I only wish I could have brought he and his family with me when I moved. I believe that Dr. Chong is a very caring, hard working, passionate doctor, that deserves an award for simply being just who he is....unreplaceable. Thank you for all you have done for me Dr. Chong, and I will remember what you told me before I moved. "Once your patient....always your patient...."

I had an 8:30am appointment, and was told to arrive at 8:00am to fill out paperwork. I arrived at 7:50, just to be a little early. At 8:55 I asked the receptionist and I was told the doctor was running late - he was just seeing his 8:00am appointment. This doctor doesn't value his patients' time, so don't bother seeing him.
