Dr. Ildiko Tabori Corral, PhD

I recently stumbled upon these reviews and I can’t overstate how relieved I feel knowing that I wasn’t singled out by Ildiko’s rude, condescending and demeaning attitude. I would dread each session with her - she would interrupt, push my buttons, tell me I hadn’t stated things with her when I clearly remember doing so in past sessions. After one particularly heated session I remember going for a walk and crying my eyes out. I have never before felt so insulted as I did in my sessions with her- and to think she calls herself a therapist! Not an ounce of emotional intelligence or empathy. I’m going to need therapy to recover from my visits with her.

Sadly, I’ll be echoing most of the reviews here. I regret to say that my experience with therapist Ildiko Tabori was exceedingly disappointing. Frankly, I question whether she has the basic skill set in kindness required to be a server in a restaurant, let alone serve as a professional therapist. My first impression was marred by her utter lack of professionalism. She would commence our sessions by eating, which was not only distracting but also blatantly disrespectful. Therapy is supposed to be a sacred space for healing, and her behavior detracted from that ideal. Her overall attitude was both combative and arrogant, which made our sessions feel more like confrontations than opportunities for growth. A therapist should ideally be a neutral party who facilitates meaningful dialogue, but with Ms. Tabori, I felt like I was walking into an emotional battleground. One particularly troubling aspect of her practice was her habit of using her own life as the "baseline for normal." For me,… this was disconcerting and wholly inappropriate. A therapist should not impose their own life circumstances as a metric for their clients' well-being. The culmination of these ongoing issues reached a boiling point in our final session. I found myself compelled to raise my voice and I ended up disconnecting the Zoom call abruptly. This was an unprecedented action for me in any therapeutic relationship I’ve ever been a part of. This was the last straw in what felt like a string of unprofessional and detrimental behaviors. My interactions with her felt more akin to a dysfunctional relationship than a therapeutic alliance, and for this reason, I cannot recommend her services for anyone seeking mental health support. It is my experience that Ildiko does more damage, than repair.

I recently started working with Dr. Tabori. I have made more progress with her than I have with any other therapist. She was there when I had a really big trauma in my life and was patiently guided me through it. I am happy I found her

You will leave more traumatized than you came in - this woman is a menace to society. I had such a bizarre experience with her. She spent the first 15 minutes of the session reading over my referral from the neurologist and the second 30 minutes arguing with me about why the neurologist referred me. I came to her looking for healing and left with more issues than i walked in with.

What a strange experience. I don't think I've ever seen a therapist who spent so much time arguing with me about the clarity of my story, despite the personal things I was sharing. I called the appointment off after about 15 minutes but she will not refund me. Steer clear of this very unpleasant woman.

Probably the nastiest woman I've ever met in my life. Was recently diagnosed with ADHD and this was my first therapy session ever and my god was it awful. She would ask me questions that involved deep thinking on my part and get upset when my answer was more than 2 words. She would make judgmental assumptions without any information and get upset when I tried to correct her. She tried to tell me that Strattera usually takes effect immediately which is straight up wrong. She called me argumentative when I tried to inform her that studies and my psychiatrist suggest that it usually takes a month. She doesn't want to hear you speak. She doesn't want to have a conversation. She wants you to sit there and listen to her judge and give you incorrect information without question. If you are looking for someone with empathy to help work through your issues, then you will have to look elsewhere, because this woman is nothing but rude and uncaring.

Honest and truthful.

One of the worst therapists i've ever experienced! This woman should not even have a license to be practicing. She's rude, snobby, mean, and verbally abusive. She also judges everything you tell her. Nothing good could come out of her therapy for anyone. I hope nobody else goes through the bad experience I went through with her. A therapist should never act the way she did!!!

I thought I did so much research when looking for a new therapist, but seeing the comments below, I realize I did not do enough. I echo all of the claims below: this was the worst therapist experience I have ever had. I know more about her than she does about me in the 50 minute session. Besides acting like she silenced her phone when she clearly didn't because it kept ringing and bringing out her laptop to take notes ... When I talked about pre-verbal trauma she said, "Let's not make something out of something that isn't there." That's odd coming from a psychological perspective. When I told her the medications I was on––prescribed by my psychiatrist of 6 years, she said that I was on too many. When I attempted to discuss my relationship with my spouse she shut me up saying that it wasn't like how I was saying ... I wish I could write more specifics about her lack of professionalism, but that would be too identifying. Suffice it to say that I hope no one has the unfortunate… opportunity to even receive a 5 minute session with her.
