Dr. Ilene Sue Ruhoy

Amazing! One of the very few doctors who understands complex issues and can get to the bottom of what’s going on.

Dr. Ruhoy and her staff are amazing. Being under her care for chronic illness is a completely different experience. She didn't give up until she figured out what to do. Normally, in most medical offices, I've been told I have to live with it or it's not real. It is real. My labs prove it. I feel respected, heard and helped. First time in 20 years. Dr. Ruhoy is also action-oriented. Things get done. Plan on waiting for your appointment. It will happen. She spends the time she needs to in order to completely understand the complexity of her patient's health issues. It's worth it. I bring a good book and understand that sometimes, I'm the patient that keeps everyone waiting. I'd rather have good medical care than a prompt doc!

Its bad enough when you pay a doctor and they don’t know how to help you. Its much worse when they know exactly how to help you but choose to extract thousands at the cost of your life and well-being. Dr. Ruhoy knows exactly how to help you (documented in her medical notes). HOWEVER she finds no qualms in claiming she cannot tell you the next steps of your care (notes are available only in paper and not on her portal). Dr. Ruhoy also finds it acceptable to commits insurance FRAUD by charging $250 for “extra time” not actually spent. After reporting Fraud to Premera and they reclaimed the money. This happened to me not once, but twice. In both cases, I had waited 1 hour in the lobby for my appointment. Additionally, during appointments Dr. Ruhoy comes un-prepared and spends the first part “reviewing her notes” in front of you. I.e. charging you for prep work she did not do. She asked me what tests SHE performed several appointments. I expect the doctor to know what tests they took IN… THEIR OWN OFFICE. To top off my horrible experience, Dr. Ruhoy’s office sent my medical records during my divorce which were intercepted by my wife and her lawyer. I asked Dr. Ruhoy NOT to mail the documents for this reason and drove into the office to find that they “forgot to print them”. I asked again and drove in again to find that they had been mailed. During my last appointment Dr. Ruhoy told me to “check the rates” for out of pocket “phone consultations” as I was bankrupt and moving out of state due to illness and divorce. NOTE: Upon first few appointments and the 5 star reviews online… You will think my story is false as Dr. Ruhoy DOES seem to be amazing at first until you figure out after six months the hard way like I did. In summary, Dr. Ruhoy knows EXACTLY how to help you, she just chooses to RUN A CORRUPT BUSINESS AT YOUR EXPENSE.

Finally a doc that listens to you and treats the whole person. We've had a couple of emergencies come up and she's right on top of it!
