Dr. Ioanna Kanellitsas, MD

She is a horrible, evil, disrespectful woman who does not care about mothers or babies. She needs her license revoked. Even more so she needs a mass lawsuit against her.

I have never had a doctor speak to me as inappropriately as Dr. K. I only came in for a check up that she recommended and expressed some side effects I was having. I was only asking to make sure it was normal, and she made me feel ashamed for expressing that I had them at all. She pretty much told me that other girls had it worse and I was fine. She made an already uncomfortable situation, a horrible experience. Not to mention, a friend who was next door could hear the entire conversation. She was also appalled by the way she spoke with me. This was after I waited undressed for an hour and 15 minutes. Stay away from this doctor is possible.

Do not waste your time. Mean, degrading, belittling. Talks to Everyone as if they're stupid and ignorant. I wouldn't let a stuffed teddy bear see her.

I was well taken care of in the beginning of my pregnancy, but the further in the worse her schedule got (always at least 30-45 min behind schedule), the worse her staff got, and my care... I was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia and it was as if the diagnosis was enough for her... My iron more then doubled for several weeks before she FINALLY decided to deliver my daughter. On the day of delivery, I could've died as my bp was 200/100, the nurses all were very concerned but as soon as I was closed up (had a c-section) Dr K was out the door and couldn't have seemingly cared less about me or my health... After deciding to go with the Mirena (IUD) I started to have strange symptoms including nausea, headaches, weight gain, breast tenderness and a very swollen, hard abdomen (like a pregnant belly), I went in to see Dr K to check if this was normal, her nurse touched my stomach and with rather large eyes panicked and said "omg! Are we sure you aren't pregnant?!" She wanted a pregnancy test,… however when dr k walked in the room (90 min AFTER my appointment time) she laughed it off and told me it was all fine... Never once even acknowledging anyone's concerns. The last time I was seen by her, I had gone in w concerns of "postpartum depression" which she once again basically laughed off, wrote me out a prescription (why would you do so if you didn't think I was in need of it anyways) and told me not to see her about it again, to go to my normal dr... I didn't feel cared about as a patient... I pray no one else ever gets treated like I was.

she is an idiot and doesn't communicate well with no children of her own or marriage she cannot relate to other women honestly, feels as though she is always telling b/s. with no feelings of what real woman go through in any situation.

What a wonderful, caring professional!! I moved out of the area and continued to travel 45+ minutes each way to see her. So easy to talk to, knowledgable without preaching, and truly seemed to take an interest in answering any/all questions, even at the end of a long, busy day!! Wish her well when/wherever she opens a new practice...!!

She is simply the best, there is no other way to say it !
