Dr. Ira Jeffrey Goodman, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Goodman for about four years now and I can honestly say that although he seems kind of distant at times and hard to figure if you’ll just give him a chance he will treat you fairly. He will size up your MRI or bone scan or whatever has been done and he will offer different treatments from injections to pain medicine. In my situation I have had injections in the past and they never worked so he has given me pain medicine and monitored me every month. I have suffered from chronic pain for 20 years and I have seen some of the best specialists in the country. They all said there was nothing that could be done other than some exercises and try a few injections or pain medications and I even tried the Boston electronic device and it hurt so bad and it didn’t do any good so I left that pain clinic. I then came to see Dr. Goodman. And he’s basically given my life back to where I can actually function now. I know I’m not going to get any better and as I age more my pain… in my back will probably get worse but then again maybe God will bless me. I am a realist however and I deal with things daily. So regardless of what all the other people have said I am telling you that if you are honest with Dr. Goodman and you explain your situation to him I believe he will treat you fairly providing you do what he tells you to do. I’ve suffered from pain for 20 years and I’ve lost several doctors due to them retiring and one died and another one moved away from the area. I’ve been here at the clinic for about four years and I have no intention of leaving as long as Dr. Goodman is here. So talk to him and tell him the truth and you’ll get along ways. And make sure that you really do have pain and you’re not trying to drug seek because he can see right through that.

Dr. Goodman made me feel comfortable right from the start. I trust him and I would not go to anyone else. He is compassionate, kind, and yet discerning. He will work with you as a team which makes me feel more comfortable and is concerned about your quality of life. In my opinion he is an excellent physician.

I went to dr Goodman for pain management while living in Chicago, I had chronic back pain from numerous issues. He started me on pain medication along w/ spinal injections,...when the injections didnt work, I had to keep working but couldnt sit longer than 30min at a time or stand for too long eitjer,...everytime I saw him he literally upped my medications,...I remember saying to him (after he doubled the amount of opana I was taking along w/ huge amounts of norco) I was concerned about being 'addicted' to all these meds, his response was "your Not addicted, you're dependent." We moved to upstate ny and I Literally could Not find a dr who would even Look at me, all saying I was on more pain medication then a dying cancer patient. I eventually found a dr who would see me w/ the condition go off my meds. well That was a riot, run times,..noe I'm not on any opioids, just gabapentin But my records All have me down as an addict not a "dependent". Btw, the FDA just made them stop even… making opana,...so yea,...thanks dr.goodman

Dr Goodman has seen me through numerous procedures, a spinal fusion, an SCS implant & battery replacement - all in an effort to manage my pain and improve my quality of life. He is a no nonsense, caring Dr who takes time to listen, answer questions and address concerns. But he is more than a Dr he is a partner in my pain management. He holds me accountable for the things I need to do - exercise, manage my overall health, etc. Dr Goodman is a very responsible pain doctor. He and Dr Glaser have been on the forefront of instituting safeguards for prescribing pain meds. My family and I trust him completely.

Easy to work with, extremely thorough and honestly concerned about his patients. Wish he were here in Arizona.

Been a loyal patient for year he's put me up to the max dosage then discontinued my treatment on rumors total pill pushee

I've seen Goodman for years and would have continued seeing him if it were not for his license being suspended. I really could not tell you anything more about this. At my appointment with the PA I was told that Goodman isn't seeing patients anymore, but there was no further info given. I did some digging on my own and found that his license has been suspended before. Another doctor in the office made a sarcastic comment one day at an appointment that I'll not forget. The comment regarded the very high dose of opiates I was on. This doctor said, "That's why Dr Goodman can't see patients anymore." I'm really surprised he hasn't been locked up. It's so obvious what he does.

Stay away from this man!¡!!!!!!!! Dr goodman is a pill guy who will doll them out until you're on the highest dose!!!! He could care less about you and your health.its all about lining his pockets !!! Again stay away from him !!!!

Dr Goodman truely cares about the whole person.Excellent Doctor.
