Dr Pearlstein is the best Dr. ever. I have trusted him with our families health for many years. Sadly Heart & Family health is another matter.....rude, impossible to get through on the phones and staff always to busy to help.

Dr Pearlstine is the best Dr. In Florida. Sadly Family Heart and Health stinks. Worst support staff, phone system etc. I stayed only for Dr. P

I had a problem with my thyroid as soon as I was seen by dr. Pearlstine he knew what was going on with me and did blood tests to confirm I've been okay. I am amazed by his knowledge in all aspects of medicine . He also amazes me by remembering all his patients names along with their major medical problem and he does have a lot of he patience. He also has a very good attitude towards all his patients and wants everything in his office to be in tip top shape even staffing. Over al an awesome dr. In every aspect.

Dr. Pearlstine is nice, and very knowledgeable, I'll give him that, but each time I have gone to see him (I've been a patient for 7 years), it feels rushed. I doubt I have ever spent more than 10 minutes with him, and it's usually more like 5 minutes. Sometimes, I'm asking him a question as he's rushing out the door! Even worse, Heart and Family health is a large bureaucracy, rife with red tape and mistakes. They have prevented me from getting a new insurance policy more than once by not responding to requests for medical records and questions from the new insurer in a timely manner. This has cost me thousands of dollars. You can NEVER speak to the doctor on the phone, only a nurse - who relays info to him and then calls you back. Sometimes it takes three phone calls back and forth before your questions are answered due to this, and it all feels very impersonal. If you want to speak to the doctor himself, you have to pay to make an appointment just to have a… conversation with him. I come from NY, and I doubt that his patient load is larger than what my doctor had up there with their much greater population, yet I was always able to get a call back from my doctor up there (after hours, of course). I've been trying to schedule a "wellness exam" (full physical) for three years now, and every time I try, the person doing the schedule puts it in as a cholesterol follow-up and thus my insurance won't pay for it. I'm done - actually, I've been done for a few years now, but was just too lazy to search out a new doctor.

Dr. P has been my confidant, friend, and most knowledgable doctor for over 15 years. This man has been my salvation to being kept healthy and sane, through thick and thin in my life's ups and downs. A true caring gentle man. Dr P is clearly not in his profession for the money, prestige or the long hours he has to put in, he is a doctor that truly wants to help people. He will follow up without having to be chased down which in this fast paced world makes a difference in his patients lives. I can not imagine my life without my Dr. P. in it.

One of the best physicians I have met in 65 years - knowledgeable, thorough, friendly, positive, sense of proportion and humor, cuts through red tape to get you to see another specialist when he thinks it is inmportant, well-balanced and healthy himself. His staff loves him and reports that he is always positive with them, offers lots of thanks and praise, never "hits" someone irrationally and always fair. Someone you will enjoy seeing and knowing.
