Dr. Irene Andonia C Malaty, MD

Run away! She doesn’t provide a thorough evaluation. Instead she will use old data and another doctors opinion. If you had a bad doctors experience this can further damage any future treatment or testing you need. We found her to be aggressive and have no interest in helping you. Instead she lectured us on whatever she wanted without any tests being performed and stated biases on any thing she herd from another. Her notes will not give dates so if you had a scan 7-10 years ago she will say scan states…. Without the date or location. Ultimately, we had to go to another network to get a comprehensive evaluation and treatment.

The doctor had a horrible bedside manner and didn’t run a full battery of tests. Instead she lectured me what another doctors opinion was. It’s important to note that the doctors information she was siting was outdated. I was referred to her by a different doctor but she decided to only take information from a bad neurologist I saw a few years before. If you had a bad doctors experience expect her to only regurgitate inaccurate information from the bad doctors.She will even site the inaccurate information in her notes and not run a full battery of tests. I was low in B12, had kidney stone and a stroke in my retina. She still gave inaccurate information and never even ordered a scan.

I do not recommend this doctor for anything.

Dr. Malaty is a well educated, intelligent and insightful physician. As a specialist in movement disorders she brings a wealth of information and process that is essential in correctly diagnosing uncommon disorders many others have missed.Her compassion for th patient and her passion for helping others is exceptional.

Wonderful physician, empathetic, excellent listener, pays attention to what you say and totally attentive. This neurologist makes the patient feel that she really wants to do what she is doing and wants to be in the room with you discussing your well-being. Dr. Malaty seems to be trying to learn from her patient while taking care of her patient.

Dr. Malaty is by far one of the most professional and personal doctors with whom I have ever had to deal. Moving to Florida from New York having just been diagnosed with Parkinson's, Dr. Malaty took my case and has handled the progression with interest and concern. I would recommend her to anyone needing a neurologist.
