Dr Ivan Grunberger

I had several visits with him. Very pleasant and reassuring and took necessary test to resolve my problem. He and staff made me comfortable on my visits.

Always friendly, attentive and thorough. I have been seeing him for many years and he has never steered me wrong. Highly recommend.

He WAS an excellent urologist but he apparently is in big trouble now? There is no response from him or his office.

My mother had an app today with dr Grunberger. It was confirmed yesterday for today at 50th St location, then when my mother arrived, she was said that dr is at the other office! It is happening a second time !!! Last time her app was at the summer time. And also wrong address. My Mom is 81 years old ! Very weak and with 2 hips replaced beyond her other health issues and she was operated by Dr Grunberger! That is why she wants to see him, but today because of someone mistake she didn’t have a chance to see a doctor and they make her app inFEBRUARY!!! But her problem has to be addressed NOW! She is crying! It is disgusting to make suffering such a weak person!!! No one cares at front desk !!!

I had complications from surgery. He was nowhere to be found. Did not return emergency calls.

Expect to wait a long time for an appointment with Dr. Grunberger and an equally long time in the waiting room. Time actually with him is brief and don't expect prompt follow ups by phone. He may or may not be knowledgeable (nothing accomplished for me after 2 visits) but he and his staff are very unprofessional and a pain to deal with.

I recommend highly. The courteous staff made sure that every detail was taken care of by the end of the visit and were prompt at following through in between office visits. Dr. Grunberger spent time explaining procedure and gave accurate trustworthy diagnosis.

This doctor told me I needed surgery which he would perform, and he specified what specific procedure, since there are several. To get a second opinion I went to the superb urology department at NYP/Columbia. I was told that I didn't need surgery at all, and that was years ago, and I'm fine. Plus, the doctors at NYP said the proper surgical procedure would have been the one Grunberger opposed. This doctor isn't interested in what you have to say--he is always right. If you disagree, he becomes really angry. Also, he waiting room is disgusting, overcrowded and not air conditioned.

Not only is Dr. Grunberger a highly educated doctor, he is extremely knowledgable and his bedside manners are impecable. I would recommend him 10x's over. Staff very professional and courteous.
