Dr. Izumi Yamamoto, MD

I went to see her for three times. The first two times were okay, although the staff who did the eye exam was very rude. I went back as "annual checkup" for the third time. It was the worst. I had an impression she does not care what patients need. She is choosing patients for her benefit. Once she finishes with the patient, she turns to be cold. Even if you need advise from her, she is not interested in doing ANYTHING for you and show you a very cold attitude. Now I understand the reason why the lady who does the eye exam is hired as employee. Because this doctor herself does not care about what experience patients have by them. You should take your own risk to go visit her. It's so sad to see we have such a horrible doctor in Hawaii.

I went to Dr. Yamamoto's office after years with my optometrist; as I got older, I felt I needed the services of an ophthalmologist so I decided to give Dr. Yamamoto a try. Everyone in her office was very friendly and professional! Dr. Yamamoto took the time to explain to me what was going on with my eyes, and she suggested I not do LASIK or glaucoma surgery; I ordered a year's supply of daily disposable contacts at a better rate than my optometrist; I am a patient of Dr. Yamamoto's for life!

I couldn't use my glasses from the day that I picked them up. Went back to the eyeglass store couple days later and the prescription was matching the glasses. They told me to check with my eye doctor. Went back to Yamamoto and found out she wrote me a wrong prescription! She didn't even apologize for her mistake! Horrible! Will never go back!!!

Staff has limited knowledge. MD has poor attitude & demeanor
