Dr. Jack D Schim, MD

I am seriously considering informing the CA Medical board about this guy. He will give you the diagnosis that requires botox. I believe he is committing fraud.

He's Sadistic. Terrible!! I just read a review that was the same as i experienced. He took 3 junk calls during my5 minute visit. Said i might need brain surgery. i wasn't sure if he was joking about the brain surgery or not. but i know enough that it shouldn't be mentioned until test results are in. Then his helper , someone name Mathew called with my test results. he said all was normal. then he calls back and says he has talked to the "other guy" and I have a mass in my brain, and tumors on my jaw. And i needed to make 5 follow up appointments with the PA. well if i have a brain tumor i think i should probably get to an oncologist quick. also had just been to the dentist who took full x-rays and i new i didn't have tumors on my jaw. so i ask Mathew to send me the report. The report said all was well. sooo I was lied to. The man needs to be fired!!!!!!

This guy is terrible!!! He sounds good on paper,but my God i've never seen such outward sadistic qualities in a doctor. Most Docs at least feign concern. I mean who jokes about brain surgery? Who takes 3 personal phone calls during a 5 minute office visit,then tells you they were all junk calls. who gives a diagnosis without the proper tests? Dr. Schim does!!!! And he's the head of neurology at scripps?

Jack is a good guy, and a decent doctor, but his staff will treat you as if you are an idiot or a drug seeker, if you are not careful.. be really sweet to them, or you get nothing. You would do well to find another neurologist unless you love pill pushers.

I saw Dr. Schim several years ago. He is overrated. The last time I saw him he asked me to walk and I walked into a wall. He didn't respond.

It is difficult to understand the philosophy of such a 'highly rated' doctor, when road to encounter the experience his work is that of an over sized 'olympic course'. After attempting to make 'human contact' on several of the phone numbers to his offices, and sitting on hold with repetitive music for a ridiculous amount of time I resigned to give up. Yet, on a last minute hunch, I decided to refurbished my level of patience and give it one more try. A woman answered immediately to my surprise. I began to explain my efforts to make contact with the several offices, when suddenly I was cut off. A couple moments later she called back with no apology and much defensiveness that had absolutely no correlation with the questions I was attempting to get answers for. This is unfortunately one of the many healthcare downfalls that all too many have to experience to acquire medical care. It will be an exemplary moment in time when the reality of human interaction and compassion become… the integral perception in our healthcare system.
