Worst experience of my life. And I've given natural child birth. If I could give him zero stars, I would. He is brash. See that smile in his picture. You won't see that in person. He looks more like you are an annoyance to him. In and out like vaccinating prized cattle. He gave me 30 seconds to decide an have my gallbladder removed. Then 10 seconds or he was going home. The nurse relaying this information through the phone to me is visible shaking at having to broker this surgery between us. I said yes due to the extreme pressure he was putting on the nurse. I felt it was the only way to save her. You should have seen her face. She was scared of him. Had to beg for him to meet me before surgery. I won't go into any surgery with the surgeon looking me in the face. The look on his face did not sooth me, he acted like is was inconveniencing him and he'd wish I'd stop asking questions, you know, questions like what will this do, what do I expect after. What little he did say was a… complete lie. 2 1/2 years later he doesn't care but I am 5'7" and can't put on more than 100 lbs. That wasn't a problem before this surgery. Digestive system is ruined. Can barely leave the house due to people always asking me if I need help because I look like I am dying. One of the wounds he left from the laproscopic would not heal. I went to him after the others had healed. He barely spoke to me. Did not explain what he was doing. I had to ask him after he had already filled the wound with colloidal silver. This, of course, did not work and made it worse. I refused, as anyone would, to return to him for help. I have no faith in my actual Doctor. So I spent four months tending the wound until it healed. I know have an ugly scar there while the other healed nicely. He is the worst bedside manner. I was treated like a head of prize cattle, just being pushed through the line up for my balls to be clipped. His nurses appear frightened of him. And the LRMC nurse was 100% scared of him. Told me he was intimidating and to not take it personally. I don't care how many surgeries he's done. He screwed mine up and takes no responsibility.

I have a complicated medical history. The more I tried to explain the nastier he became. Day of surgery I tried to explain my pain pump and what pain meds work for me. He tried to cancel my surgery! Made me feel like I was only there for pain meds! He never let me finish a sentence. He did the surgery and refused to give me pain medication post op! The man is Satan!

I received excellent care from Dr. Thigpen. He is an excellent surgeon.

Would not go to a doctor that treats the people he works with like trash. To me that says a lot about him as a person, your suppose to be caring and treat others rudely? Saw him yelling at a professional nurse. Thought doctors and nurses work together to provide care? To me that spoke volumes. If you are rude and disrespectful then there’s no bedside manner. Plus, I dont’ think he likes minorities.

Dr. Thigpen came into my hospital room after admission, erased the white board in my room (the nurses hate that, they have to re-write all that info on the board!), but he drew pictures of my organs he would be working on, what if any complications there might be and how he would deal with them. He is to the point but I found him to be very sweet and caring. He told me I would stay overnight, then came in to see if I was ready for discharge and explained what I should do when I got home. Followed up yesterday for my two week checkup, everything healed perfectly, all soreness gone and was released to full activity. I thanked him for saving my life because I thought I was going to die the night before. I liked him.

I forgive Dr Thigpen. I wóuld not advise anyone to go to him. I have had to forgive him for my own sake and the sake of Christ.

Dr thigpen was so horribly obnoxious to me that I wanted to chase him down the hall and tell him what I thought about him I knew I'd be arrested and refrained I'm having complications from surgery and cannot go back to him it takes more than knowing how to cut on someone to be a Dr in my opinion he's not one

Im really not happy with the way surgey went for one you dont see the doctor befor or after surgey,He doesnt tell you what to look for after surgey,the tape they used in surgey has really made big plisters and sores on my tummy,I was to be wearing a band around my tummy and they didnt have one to fit me so they sended me home with out one,After a week of my surgey I called his office many times because I started having a draning, I thought it was bleeding, after many calls they told me to go to there care when I got there and got in a roon Dr.Thigpen come in looked under my bandage and never check me or let me ask anything,just told me to be quite and listen to what he had to say,I still know nothing and still having trouble but dont want to call his office,because I know he doesnt want to see me till the 10 of the month,I sorry but I feel like we pay these doctors and they should take care of us,they all should be the doctor Dr Cardiso is caring,And takes care of anything that comes… up fast.

I found Dr Thigpen knowledeable,efficient & friendly.He was able to explain the condition & surgery so that I could understand.He was willing to answer any questions I had.
