I had an excellent experience with Dr. Kirsch from the initial consultation to post surgery check ups . He was very kind , and took time to thoughtfully explain the whole reverse shoulder replacement process which enabled me to be fully prepared for the surgery. Dr. Kirsch also listened to, and answered all my questions and concerns. The whole staff at BBJ was equally excellent and very efficient. I would highly recommend Dr. Kirsch and staff!

Unfortunately, having a total reverse shoulder replacement by Dr. Kirsch and his team was one of THE best experiences in my life!!!!! I was dealing with shoulder pain for several years due to what I believed to be was a torn rotator cuff. Because my wife had one and her recovery was almost worse than the injury itself, I delayed addressing mine until January 2025. The x-rays showed I had severe osteoarthritis and I started cortisone injections. The first two worked, but the last one in December 2025 did not, which is when I was introduced to Dr. Kirsch regarding surgery. From the moment we met, I knew he was someone I could trust. He took the time to explain everything in detail using my x-rays and a 3-D shoulder model. In addition to the arthritis, one of my bones had not formed properly when I was growing up which contributed to the problems. I never knew because I never had any problems up until now. Dr. Kirsch was excited to work on my shoulder because of this! During the… past three months leading up to my surgery which was yesterday, Wednesday March 25th, the entire team at BBJI and BOSS have been outstanding. They have kept me informed every step of the way with constant reminders of what I needed to do to prepare for my surgery. I had to get a detailed CT scan so Dr. Kirsh could properly plan for the surgery, and a physical from my PCP to clear me for the surgery. My wife and I stayed at a hotel right across the highway from BOSS in Waltham, MA because I needed to be there at 5:45 am to complete some paperwork. We live in Plymouth and did not want to drive up that morning. The surgery included about an hour of prep time (IV insertion, vitals check, nerve blocker, paperwork, etc.), two hours of actual surgery, and another for recovery. We finally left BOSS about 11 am and were home by noon. The evening prior to surgery, Dr. Kirsch called me to make sure I was prepared and to answer any questions I may have. I told him I was a bit nervous, but I had complete confidence in him and his Team. This morning, Thursday, Dr. Kirsch called me at 7am to see how I was doing. I said I am doing great and proceeding smoothly toward a full recovery. I also received a call from one of the nurses at BOSS to see how I was doing. As I said in the beginning, this was one of the best life experiences I have ever had. I COMPLETELY trust Dr. Kirsch and his team, as well as BBJI and BOSS. They have gone above and beyond to make sure I have all the information I need at every step of the way, including detailed cost breakdowns, medications, physical therapy, etc. I highly recommend them!!!!!

I was nervous about my surgery, but once I arrived at the surgical center the nurses were very understanding and made me feel comfortable. Dr Kirsch was fantastic right from the initial diagnosis to the post-op follow-up phone call. He is a great doctor who is caring and very competent. I will definitely see him again and is worth much more than 5 stars.

Dr. Kirsch listened to everything I had to say, even when I didn't know how to express it exactly. He thoroughly explained my diagnosis, discussed all of my options, risks and benefits and addressed all of my concerns allowing me to make an informed decision. I have lived with degenerative cartilage shoulder pain for years, but I am confident in Dr.Kirsch and my decision to move forward with my shoulder replacement surgery. His office staff is friendly, on time and responsive in returning calls.

Dr. Kirsch performed a reverse shoulder replacement on my left shoulder. I felt like he actually cared about ME, not just my titanium joint! He called me, himself, the night before the surgery. Each time I had a follow up appointment after the operation, he saw me himself. Very pleased with the care I received and the outcome of the surgery.

He is the best. I would recommend him to everyone. My pain is gone.

The best! Look no further! I am just a little over 1 week out from reverse shoulder surgery on my dominant arm and I'm feeling very little discomfort. Dr. Kirsch is the best! He was respectful and a perfect listener at my first consultation and asked me the right questions, not pushing for surgery. He has answered my emails very quickly and thoroughly, called the night before my surgery, and saw me in the hospital the morning after. The office is very organized, and the booklet he gave me to help understand the pre and post surgery processes is very thorough. Listens, takes his time explaining, very accessible. Called me the evening before my shoulder replacement and asked how I was doing and told me my job that evening was to get some good rest. Will have my second replacement done by him also.

Dr Kirsch is fantastic. He made me feel safe and secure in my decision to have surgery. He and his team was always there with any concerns ! He will be doing my other shoulder soon !

My visits with Dr Kirsch are always honest, open conversations. He respectfully listens to my concerns. He doesn't force a type of treatment on me but rather gives me all the facts in order to make an intelligent decision. I feel very comfortable with him & that's a big part of my decision to continue treating with him.
