Dr. James Raymond Avellini, MD

Never have I experienced such an abnormal , ridiculous behavior coming from a Dr . This man is unethical , dismissive , and erratic in his behavior . Is he ethnocentric? I think so , because most of his Corona NY patients are immigrants or descendants of Latin American immigrants . He treats them like cattle and worse he is so loud that one can listen to the insults while receiving therapy which is disruptive and exasperating . Until he is not removed from this office please do yourself a favor and do not visit it , you will avoid a thousand insults and mistreatments from him .

Horrible Doctor he is extremely disrespectful and cruel . I was recently involved in a car accident which resulted in a lot of physical and emotional pain, I had no idea I’d experience double the suffering due to this doctor. He spoke down on me and treated me like if I was less than him . When I proceeded to inform him the reason why’d I’d miss the appointment we had scheduled for me to see the pain management was because I’d forgotten , he immediately went against what I said and stated it was impossible that I had forgotten because he’d wrote it on a appointment card. I tried to tell him I’d simply forgot and he then repeatedly told me that he didn’t believe I’d forgotten and that he was almost sure I’d gotten a call from therapy stating that I had to see the doctor. He belittled me and made me question myself. After speaking to the front desk they were able to realize I was out of town and I’d let them know in advance that I would be out of state. Due to this doctors mental abuse… he completely blanked my mind and I was unable to communicate effectively. Not only was he rude but he also stated it wasn’t his problem I’d been in an accident nor was it anyone’s problem or job (physical therapy Receptionists ) to call to remind me of the appointment. Stay away from this doctor if you have any mental illnesses he is very persistent on making you feel like you’re a mess. This is a warning for people to stay away from these so called medical professionals it’s not worth your mental health.
