I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Dr. James M. Chimenti, an outstanding neurosurgeon, for his exceptional professionalism, compassion, and unwavering dedication to patient care. Dr. Chimenti consistently demonstrates the highest standards of medical excellence. He takes the time to listen attentively to my concerns, provides thorough explanations, and addresses every issue with precision and urgency. Dr. Chimenti exemplifies the qualities every patient hopes to find in a physician — surgical expertise, integrity, empathy, and commitment. I give my highest recommendation to anyone in need of spine surgery, particularly in emergent or complex cases. His knowledge, compassion, and dedication to his patients are truly life-changing.

I finally found a doctor who is zeroing in on the sources of my pain. He's very thorough and gives me his undivided attention and answers all my questions in detail.....which is very important to me.

BEWARE if your are out of network with these doctors. Luckily, I only went for a consult. Office staff does a good job of luring you in. While they do make sure you are made aware that they out of network; they "suggest" that they "usually" accept the out of network payment from the insurance company. In the stack of paperwork is the usual "you agree to pay" whatever insurance doesn't. Then they balance bill you the entire remaining amount anyway and will not negotiate after the fact. Any promises made from this group get in advance in writing. With so many specialists pulling out of insurance networks and not participating in medicare any longer it is a good idea to shop around. Not all specialists deal with patients in this manner and there are many good doctors out there.

I would recommend Dr. Chimenti to anyone who is need of simply a consultation or who is ready for surgery. He got me in and out of the hospital with ease and I found the billing department OK to worth with, unlike some other people commenting on here. Nothing comes for free after all. There are a lot of risks involved not only for the patient, but the doctor too, and Dr. Chimenti made me completely aware of everything. Lastly I'd like to note he has an excellent beside manner that is both professional, but also very caring for the patient.

Dr. Chimenti and his staff are accommodating, caring, concerned, exemplary proficiency in both technical skill, expertise and listening to the patient. I had the best experience from the first time visit, through surgical education and procedure. I was reassured comforted and felt extremely confident. My procedure was successful and Dr. Chimenti gave me back my life with out pain and with out the necessity for pain medications.

I was told that he was the go-to guy for back surgery. I blew out my L4L5 and L5S1 discs. He read my MRI's and examined me. He told me he knew he could fix my problem through surgery, but didn't pressure me at all. In fact he told me to go home and think about it for as long as I wanted. I did, then 2 months later, I final scheduled the surgery. Went in 6am and came home 8pm a new man. 8 years later and being almost 40 years old, I'm in the best shape of my life. I can't thank Dr. Chimenti enough. THE Greatest!!!!!

After having pain and numbness down my one arm, and visiting 6+ doctors, surgeons and specialists a few years back, I got referred to Dr Chimenti. WOW. Actually sat down, understood what my symptoms and pains were, layed out multiple options (not just 1, cut), and set me on a plan. As it ended up,surgery was needed, and all went well! 9 years later and I'm still going strong. Highly recommend!

There is no other doctor I trust more than him, as all doctors go.

Dr. Chimenti gave me back surgery and it did relieve some pain but now I have numbness in my leg below my knee and foot. This problem was noticed imediately after surgery and is still there. I have had post op MRI,s showing that the herniation is still there and will probably need another surgery in the near future. I am a healthy person and excercised and did all the post op rehabilatation required. I am positive he was not truthful with me after the surgery and would not recommend.
