Dr. James W Doolin, MD

We saw this doctor because my wife has pancreatic cancer. There is something terribly disconnected with his demeanor. An arrogance combined with disrespect. A lack of gratitude for the gifts he has been given. We switched doctors.

I am emboldened by seeing other reviews. Having cancer or probably sickness of any kind puts one in a vulnerable state. Doolin makes it worse. He is arrogant and often wrong. We got another opinion at Brigham finally and set on a much better course.

I went with my aunt to see Doolin. It was the third visit. She has resectable pancreatic cancer. Doolin said no, and elaborated without empathy or caring as to how to enlist hospice. We then went to Dana Farber and got another opinion. My aunt went through major surgery but is OK and all margins check out. Doolin was wrong. She has quite a bit of time left according to doctors at Dana.

My mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer 9/2023. Dr doulin was extremely arrogant and inpatient with my mother. My mother would go to an apt and tell him her stomach hurt her. His response was “your stomach has been hurting you since we met “ !!! Really??? It was downhill from day one with him. He never really answered questions. He always seemed hesitant. He told my mother that her cancer spread to her liver by looking at a scan and when we questioned him about it and asked him to do a biopsy, he refused and said it wasn’t necessary. He seemed inpatient when my Luther didn’t want to choose a “treatment plan at that moment “ We went to Dana farber and was told that she didn’t spread to her liver and that Dr doulin was wrong. My mother would had does if we listened to him

I have pancreatic cancer. I am a physician myself. Doolin did not know I was a doctor. He is semi-knowledgeable on treatments but the real problem is arrogance. This kid must have gotten all A's and never had to work hard for anything. He is not what a cancer patient needs.
