I would highly recommend Dr. H. He is extremely well mannered, and takes time to listen to me and explain my treatment options. It took me a lot of tries before I found Dr. H. I’m so glad to have Dr. H as my doctor. I think we need more psychiatrists like him in the world.

Ok, so let me get this out of the way. Technically speaking, I was a "drug seeking" patient. The difference between me and the stereotype is that I didn't lie about it. In my last city, I had a diagnosis for ADD, and I had a prescription that managed it extremely well. Now that I'm in a new city without it, I'm having a lot of trouble keeping up with work and in fact I'm worried that I'm about to lose my job and won't be able to pay my rent. There were other reasons for the visit, but this was the main one. I've been homeless. It's not fun. I'm pretty desperate to avoid that situation, because things aren't that great to begin with. I'm not sure I'll make it through this time. I actually get where a lot of doctors are coming from when they're reluctant to prescribe the drugs that actually work for this condition. The DEA and legislature think they know better and have created a really adversarial situation. For doctors, CYA has to be a priority. If that was going to be Dr.… Halgrimson's main priority, though, then he should have never taken my appointment. I took every opportunity I could to broadcast the point of my visit. I have a legitimately life-wrecking problem, and I know the cure. I shouldn't have to spend weeks or months and many hundreds of dollars (re-)proving what I already know. The doctor made it clear to me at the end of the visit that, because of what I was asking for, I was never going to walk out of there happy. My experience and opinion didn't count for much, and I would have to gamble more money for more visits to maybe get back to the quality of life I had before I moved. That's not a ridiculous opinion; it's just not worth $320.
