Dr. James Hervey Hudson, MD

He makes snap diagnostic decisions. He is rude and condescending. He talks about his patients behind their back.

Hudson misdiagnosed a close relative who died from cancer. He also was my father's doctor. When his Alzheimer's disease required assistance, he refused to talk to his daughter who had medical power of attorney. He should not practice medicine. I have met many doctors and he is the worst. The elderly deserve respect, compassion, and a doctor who is compitent.

My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Hudson from the day he started here and we think he is one of the BEST!!!! Dr. Hudson has helped keep my husband alive and has helped me more than anyone could when I lost my 26 year old son.

I worked with this dr in another state. At first I thought he was great! After about 1 1/2 yrs he started showing his true colors. He was rude to his patients, especially the women! He had a God complex! Even said he was God! I believe he had a problem with women, he was very rude to his wife, belittled her in public! I would never recommend him to anyone!

I had been going to Dr. Hudson for aprox. 2 years. I have a brain disorder that causes me to have problems remembering things. Both long and short term memory are problematic. Along with other issues that are too long to write in this forum. My husband has to come with me to all appointments because I can not remember anything after about 5-10 minutes. This is part of my condition. Dr. Hudson wrote me a prescription for a medication and gave it to me. I normally do not even take the prescriptions because I tend to lose things. I give them to my husband to hold. From his office to the Pharmacy I lost the prescription he gave me. When I realized this we looked everywhere for the prescription, ie. car, purse, pockets, parking lot, went back to his office, basically everywhere. This prescription was not filled and did not show up. I went back to Dr. Hudson and he said that he would not give me another prescription because I lost it, furthermore maybe this would help me to… remember not to lose important papers. I have never had such an extremely rude and noncaring person to have Doctor in front of his name. He should not be practicing medicine. I have a disability, and to bully a patient like he does is wrong. I asked some of his patients if they have ever lost a prescription and had this reaction and they said no. I think if you treat people like this it will come back to you. I had to go without my medication until I could get a doctor to fill it. My husband goes to him and he does not treat him as bad. I think he has issues with women or does not know how to communicate with people that have disabilities. I used to work with children and adults that had disabilities and would never treat them in this manner. If someone does not have compassion or patience for people, maybe they do not need to work with the public

This was an unusual visit, usually I wait 15-20 minutes at the most. Dr was taking other patients, as well as his own.

Extremely rude to patient and family. Shouldn't practicing medicine.

O.K. as Dr., but very abrupt. Office telephone staff was very rude and got things wrong about 50% of the time. I like him as a Dr., but thinking of changing because of his telephone staff.

He was very pleasant and seemed genuinely concerned in the beginning. Later he was quite rude. Recently while hospitalized he wouldn't let me go home and would not give any answers. Also spent little time with me. He responded to my questions in a flippant manner. He diagnosed me as having a certain disease even before test results were in and began treatment. When I refused treatment until tests came back he told me I would be dead in three days if I didn't do as he said. He called me paranoid. I realize that he was making an extra $100 per day for each day I was in the hospital. If I hadn't checked myself out who knows what condition I might have acquired.

When I first started seeing Dr. James Hudson I found him to be a really nice and a caring doctor. I even referred two of my friends to him. About 1 year after my first visit I went to see him regarding an ongoing problem. My husband came with me. At that visit Dr. Hudson recommend numerous tests to be done. Thankfully all tests came out fine. When I went to see him to find out what the next course of action was, he told me there was nothing wrong with me and it was all in my head. (As he raised his right index finger and circle his right ear, as if he was telling me I was crazy.) He also told me I was lying about everything and I should see a shrink. At that time I asked if he would renew 2 prescriptions that he previously prescribed to me when I first saw him. He refused and denied he ever wrote the prescriptions. I not only had prescription bottles with his name, but I also contacted Walgreens pharmacy to get copies of the original prescriptions, which they had on file. I request all… my records and test results from his office. When I read his comments regarding my last visit his exact words were I find this lady to be lying to her family and everyone else about everything. He also denied that he ever prescribed various prescriptions to me. When my husband went to see him for his own routine checkup, he asked Dr. Hudson why he treated me so rudely. He told my husband I was lying and should see a shrink.I did find a new doctor and she is very understanding and sent me to a specialist (not a shrink) who has diagnosed the problem and is treating me for it. Also, the two friends I referred to Dr. Hudson also have left him due to similar situations.
