Ordered into court ordered "reunification therapy", which has no definition, beginning or end. He refused to give advice, fill out insurance paperwork. So I wound up pumping (court ordered) over $10000 into his bank account due to his repeated refusal to help me by processing paperwork or calling the insurance company on his own. A 100% stick-up job. Literally captive audience. So I got shaken down for all my cash over 2 years.

Very kind, well-experienced and practical practitioner. Dr. Jacobs assisted me to reach a workable sense of closure after he was referred to me by UC Berkeley. Best referral that I recall. First saw him while a student at Cal. He very much helped me to understand, better cope with, and achieve a working sense of closure regarding both my immediate and extended family back east. Continued to see him, off and on, for many years. While certainly supportive, he was mentor like in that he'd point me toward (well-respected) articles, other resources to both help me understand the (not just relating to me alone) overall (often much studied around US) possible reasons for my then very uneasy feelings as well as introduced me to such (now more commonplace) concepts as yoga and meditation. Among dozens of healthcare givers I've known in NY, NJ, FL and (mostly) CA, before it was fashionable, was the kindest, most mindful, least prejudiced person I had ever met before and for… decades afterward. He changed my life only for the better.
