Dr. James Kendrick Iv, MD

I felt rushed and dismissed during my appointments with Dr. Kendrick. My concerns weren’t explored, and in some cases, they were ignored entirely. Communication was minimal during exams, and I frequently left with unanswered questions. Thankfully, the rest of my care team was excellent outside of this office, helping to address issues that were missed. I’ve since sought a second opinion to ensure I receive the attentive follow-up and patient-centered support I need.

Dr. Kendrick performed a total hysterectomy on me in March 2020. During this robotic surgery, he cut my urethra but failed to acknowledge or fix it. I was in pain for several weeks and his nurse staff kept telling me it was normal. I then started losing my bowl movements but I wasn't feeling it. After two attempts for help at the ER, they finally moved me to Advent health in Orlando, ran tests and determined my urethra was damaged. I had to have a 2nd surgery to restructure my urethra, causing a large scar on my stomach. Dr. Kendrick never apologized but called me a "trooper"when he visited me in the hospital while I recuperated. He didn't want to do chemo or radiation and my follow up visits were a joke. There removed my stitches too early causing my incision to reopen. They of course tried to blame me. I wouldn't recommend Dr Kendrick or his staff to anyone, nor would I recommend Advent Health. Advent health basically ignored my complaints and swept everything under the rug.

Poor treatment and communication

About to have a surgery, I been trying to talk with one of the nurses or office staff and it's been very challenging. I need to talk with someone regarding my FMLA application that needs to be completed prior to surgery and let me tell you about I'm about to cancel the surgery with Dr. Kendrick all because his incompetent staff and nurses.

He is one of the best drs I have ever had the pleasure of knowing .The best bedside manner ever. Very respectful and caring. GOD sent me to Him,and I'm so grateful. He Could give many other Doctors Lessons.

Dr.Kendrick did a hysterectomy on myself in Sept of 2017. I was very sickly with a large blood clot on my uterus. He made me post and pre surgery very comfortable. I came in at 35 yrs of age with a hemo of 4.3. Dr. Kendrick saved my life...??

Asustada despues de una cirugia que me hicieron hace 5 semanas fui referida a Dr James Kendrick Gynecologist/Oncologist para una evaluacion y otra cirugia.(completa hysterectomia) Me impresiono mucho su profesionalismo, cortecia, trato, precencia , y conocimiento.Gracias a Dios por ponerme en sus manos. Y si lo recomiendo 100% y a Florida Hospital donde fui atendida con un increible y amable staff.

The best Dr!!!

Won't lie, getting past the office staff to get the actual appointment to see Dr Kendrick was not the easiest of tasks. In my experience, I did feel as though I was just "another patient". They seem to possibly forget that a new diagnosis of cancer can reek quite the havoc in one's mind. That being said, Dr Kendrick was absolutely fabulous. After my 1st appointment meeting him, I felt like I had hope. He was more than informative and took his time, which anymore is unusual. He had a great demeanor in and out of the hospital and was more than willing to accommodate all my requests. I would without a doubt recommend him and his expertise to anyone as he is top notch. Rest assured, the fight past the office staff will be more than worth it to get to him.

Dr Kendrick is an excellent surgeon and he also has a great bedside manner which is rare in surgeon's!
