Dr. James Bruno Mase, MD

I have been a patient of Dr James Mase for over 15 years, more like 20. He allows sufficient time to review my medical needs as well as to cover any questions I may have. With his new staff, his wait time is non existent. He is exceptional with care, injections in spine, of which I have had many! Never a complication. A smarter more caring doctor I have never met.

I went to see Dr. Mase for a pain in my side and received an injection in my lower back! This doctor it turns out is part owner of the Plaza Surgery Center so he puts his patients through the surgery center instead of giving them the same injection he could give in his office. Complete nonsense. I would not recommend him to anyone!

Dr. Mase is worth the wait that it takes to get in to see him as a new patient. He is thorough, takes his time and explains everything. He actually tries to diagnose what is causing the pain, as opposed to other doctors who herd patients through like cattle and just prescribe meds and administer injections.Dr. Mase's staff is friendly, helpful and professional, especially Christine. If you need a pain management specialist, see Dr. Mase, you won't be disappointed.

I feel honored to call Dr. Mase my doctor. He has thoroughly explained all procedures, given me a complete exam and work-up and devoted sufficient time for all procedures. Dr. Mase has explained my medical diagnosis and treatment plan in great detail. I look forward to continuing in Dr. Mase's excellent care.

This is the worst pm Dr. Ever. He is rude and does not listen to you. His staff is wonderful and more caring than this Dr. You have an appt sceduled for 10am and you dont get in until 1145.Seriously you would get more help if you talked to a wall. Do not waste your time and money seeing this Dr. He is a joke.

I think Dr. Mase is a great Doctor & very concernabout his patient & very personable which makesa patient feel he cares & want to help them get better!I would really recommend him to others!

I waited 5 months for the first visit, it was very hard to get in;However,even though I desperately needed my medications managed by a PM physician & any other helpful relief. Was basically just rescheduled for second appointment ANOTHER month out, so I have put almost 6 months of my time waiting for help, & I left just sad. I have a deteriorating disease that is taking over my entire life. Didn't feel like any of my questions were answered & few asked. The next visit I should know if the 6 months waiting, was worth it. I don't know but if this is the best,,, I am screwed.

Dr. Mase is the man! I have been to quite a few docs in and around San Luis Obispo County and Santa Barbara County. He is the best. Caring, listens to you, addresses your problem, accurate diagnosis and get's the job done! Plus, ladies, he is nice to look at and so so funny! I love Dr. Mase!

this guy is a jerk, he doesn;t care about rsd patients and i waited weeks to even get in. Hi staff is worse.
