32 years ago from a high fever my eyes crossed. During that time I went on to surgeries ones I had both my eyes and after a week of my first surgery I had the second surgery was only one eye. On those 32 years I have been on so many doctors and no one was giving security to have a third surgery when most of them there was saying me my eyes there was gonna be worse or I might not see. I went out on Dr. McDonnell just for a check just to check when I first time I saw Dr. McDonell you make me sure the surgery was going to be 100% successful, I still was afraid but I trust him . Two years ago I had my successful surgery. And my eyes looks great. Dr. McDonnell change my life. He’s the best doctor I ever meet in my life.Thank You

I had strabismus since a kid, now grown. I had never thought about getting surgery growing up because of bad rumors but I felt like I was in good hands with this doctor and that was the best decision I made in my life yet! He corrected the alignment of my eyes and the healing was a breeze. If needed,I plan on going back to the same doctor and recommend others should as well! Excellent doctor, very talented and gifted with his hands!

At 62 years old I was referred to Dr. McDonnell for an adult strabismus issue I have lived with my entire life. As a child I had two eye surgeries to correct improper eye alignment . Although the surgeries improved the situation , my left eye still drifted out of alignment, so I accepted it as just a part of my life. Over the years, I went to a variety of eye doctors who offered nothing more than crude devices to strengthen my eye muscles through exercises. That option never worked of course. I had reluctantly accepted that there wasn’t anything more that could be done about my eye problem. Then I was referred to Dr. McDonnell after an unrelated eye issue as a result of side affects from a prescription drug. Dr. McDonnell changed my life. After the initial meeting I actually cried hearing him say that he could correct my eye alignment issue through out patient surgery. After more than 50 years of believing there was nothing more I could do, here was a Doctor who confidently… assured me that he could make my life better. Here, now five weeks after surgery, and I’m still recuperating. I haven’t healed as fast as expected, but that’s what happens when you’re 62. The bright side is my eye alignment is awesome. I read with both eyes now. I have never been able to do that before, even with glasses. When I look left I get double vision, but that was expected, and has lessened and improved every week. Bottom line, my eye alignment issue is corrected and will only get better with time. It’s so much better than before the surgery! To those of you who may have eye alignment issues, I’m sure you’ll read this review and get inspired. I can only hope you contact Dr. McDonnell and meet with him so that he can assess your particular eye ailment. I cannot say enough about Dr. McDonnell. First he is a highly skilled surgeon. However, he also has great compassion for people and also a great sense of humor. He will put you at ease, and assure you that he can help you. His entire staff, but particularly Rebecca were wonderful. They are so caring, considerate and kind. Rebecca also managed my numerous FMLA issues with my employer and never once gave me the impression that it was a burden. Many thanks to her for her kindness and patience. His resident training doctor John, who assisted on my surgery, was very kind and professional too. I can only imagine him becoming another great doctor after training with Dr. McDonnell. Thank you all for changing my life!

Dr. Mcdonnell is exemplary in terms of being a brilliant surgeon and a compassionate and caring individual. He corrected our daughter's strabismus and she now has perfectly aligned eyes and depth perception. Her head tilt disappeared immediately after the surgery. If you have strabismus, you must see Dr. Mcdonnell. He is simply the best!

I knew my daughter had vision issues beyond the need for glasses. Her eyes were crossing sometimes and she was being recommended for vision therapy. I was suspecting she had CVI, but I was getting the runaround by our current doctors. I was referred to Dr. McDonnell and he recognized immediately how to help, diagnose and treat my daughter's vision issues. He really takes a holistic approach during your visit and discusses vision, diet, vitamins/minerals, etc. He's knowledgeable and can help you figure out what might be happening with you/your child. I'd highly recommend!

After suffering from double vision and migraines for years, I went to see Dr. McDonnell. He addressed the ocular findings as well as my overall diet and health which were contributing to the symptoms. Dr. McDonnell took the time to explain his findings and addressed all of my questions and concerns. His staff was very supportive and compassionate. I had 4 eye surgeries as a child they did not get it straightt both my eye drifted out. After 45 years someone referred me to dr mcdonnel After numerous measurement testing he did surgery on both of them and now for the first time in 45 yearss they are straight he does Wonderful work would recommend him to everyone I know with Eye misalignment
