As a young man I went to art school, studying the traditional fine arts. When the age of personal computers arrived, I began working with computer graphics and multimedia. So my career has been a visual one. My vision is everything to what I do. Lately, I had been developing cataracts, which was interfering with my vision. After cataract surgery (lens replacement) by Dr McManus, I now have 20/20 vision in each eye, and my color sense is restored. (The last time I had 20/20 vision was over 40 years ago.) I have had zero problems in the recovery stage for each eye. I followed the preparation and recovery procedure advice exactly. Dr McManus and the Eye Institute staff have always been cordial, and always fully explained the procedures I was about to receive. It’s a process and it works! Dr James Mcmannus is punctual, pleasant, informative and a fabulous eye surgeon. My cataract surgery was a breeze, and the results couldn't have been better. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Mcmanus performed surgeries for cataracts in both of my eyes with replacement standard Medicare lenses. Surgery was done on one eye at a time. Dr. Mcmanus was always precise, professional, & careful with all details. All of the staff, and nurses and support people are extremely happy, pleasant and helpful as is Dr. Mcmanus. After each surgery in the evening, he would call to see how I was doing even though I would be seeing him the next morning in office for a post opt visit. I never felt rushed in the office visits, I highly recommend DrMcmanus and the Eye Institute.

Dr. McManus is a great eye doctor and glaucoma specialist. He is thorough, kind and polite. He spends quality time and explains things to your satisfaction.

Dr McManus gives you your vision back when you lose your vision to cataracts. He is a miracle worker. He fixes eyes that other doctors are afraid to touch for example if you have macular degeneration. If you have cataracts and are worried about losing your independence go to Dr. McManus. He knows what to do.

Has fine credentials, i.e., many years of experience, meticulous in his style, i.e., personality, surgical procedure, etc. In other words, he cares about the patient beyond what is expected and expects perfection in his performance and you get it. Wow - no words really suffice how professional and expert this doctor is in his field!
