Dr. James Robert Rodio, MD

Good, very good. He is kind, gentle, knowledgeable and some one I know that I can always count on.

I had seen Dr. Rodio once a month to oversee a very minor dosage of antidepressant. Once a concern was raised in the office he was working at re: HIPPA law. I was made aware that my counselor was closing my case. At which time I was told I would not be able to see Dr R and not have access to medication. I shared this all with Dr R on a very sensitive day Date of visit was the birthday of my late sister. My entire visit which was not accurate..cut short after I paid cash for visit. I would think most Dr. Medical professionals would extend clients visit not cut them short when in a crisis. He suggested I might consider going to ER. Not a thought for me as my mission is to find professionals in the field who know me and care about me not just my funds. He is known to double book and on one occassion I found out that there were three other clients sitting in waiting area...that would be possibly a time for staff to mention that it might be awhile. Clearly they don't believe… clients' time is valuable. I do believe Dr Rodio has skills but I am sadden to know that he does care for clients at a level I would have expected after seeing him for nine months. He also is chosing to work in an environment with very unethical standards in my opinion. I do have records and will be sending letter to the American Association of Psychologist in regards to one of his coworkers which he is aware of.

Our sons prescribed 14 mg suboxine (8 years), 90 mg aderall (7 years), and now Xanax, all at the same time. How do you think that’s working for a medication dependent person. NOT GOOD.

terrible dr, only good for writing prescriptions, I cant say he has helped me at all. has left me on a short term addictive drug for over 30 years and refused to help me come off of it. I got very sick with withdrawl symptoms and neither him or his stupid nurses were of any help at all. the nurses never answer the phone and don't bother to call you back. Kathy is the only one who returns calls and follows up on getting my scripts filled. this dr is only good for writing scripts

He works for me because I have found my therapy help through others. I live close and he fills the scripts I have to have. I would not recommend him to most if you need guidance and council. His lack of personal demeanor is hard to pull out. It is convenient and cheaper than most places, and I have my faith and spiritual support to carry me. If you are working to make yourself mentally well on your own or through at the Avenues, then this place could work for you but he is not for everyone. Sometimes the wait is a little long but that is the case and any doctors office anymore these days. He’s not horrible but is not wonderful and I think that we could be OK for the right person. Dr. Rodio and his staff exhibit all the signs of a pill farm. Let me tell you I've been in withdrawal for 3 days now bc the doctor wants his $85 fee, which I said I would pay if he would call in my prescription bc I was out of town for work. (Which we talked about many times) The receptionist named Kathy hung up on me after I told her she lied to me about being able to calling the prescription in. Once I corrected her she then said well Dr. Rodio doesn't call in prescriptions, I told her I have talked to the doctor many times about this scenario and there will be a time I will be out of town. I didnt know Dr. Rodio was the type of person who can sleep well at night knowing his patients can't go to work because they are sick due to withdrawal? All because of money!! STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR AND HIS PILL FARM!!! And one more thing, you CAN NOT GET AHOLD of Dr. Rodio to speak with him personally, EVER! The staff will email him and it usually takes 5 business days for him to… respond.
