i am a 74 yo veteran, to whom i owe my heaslthy life to. For many years Doctor Schmitt wa my primary csare doctor at Mc Guire and suddenly withot notice he disapeared, i miss him And i give him honors for his care of my health - he convinced me to quit smoking many years ago and i give his name praise everyone asks me about smoking, it just didnt happen.I heard he retired and i hope with Prayer he retired healthy and is doing well.He was the hardest, and most dedicated Doctor i ever met. Unfortunately, Dr. Schmidtt was my primary care physician for five years. He picked and choose which of my medical conditions to treat, ignoring life-threatening conditions like my increasingly high blood pressure. More than once, I tried unsuccessfully to have him removed as my primary health care provider. When I presented with a toe nail fungus which was getting worse, Dr. Schmitt told me "Just paint your toe nails, no one will notice". He was consistently late for appointments, sometimes by as much as an hour. My health suffered greatly under his care.

i have been going to dr schmitt for a year + now and could not be happier. he checks my meds, adjusts as needed and orders on the spot. he genuinly cares for me and shows it by calling my house on his time to check on me in between appointnments. he listens to me and does not hesitate to help with paperwork i may need completed. he includes me in medical decisions and takes the time to explain all options in a way i can understand, without talking down to me. i truly value the relationship i have with dr, schmitt and will fight tooth and nail anyone who tries to take him away as my pcp.
