Dr. James Walter Slack, MD

Had cataract surgery on both eyes on Monday, follow up successful on Tuesday, then will be again in about 5 weeks. Dr. Slack is awesome. He instills a high level of trust and confidence, and is extraordinarily competent. I give a giant shout out for Dr. Slack.

Dr. Slack was recommended as the "best" cataract surgion in the region. After having both eyes operated on, no complications, and 20/20 vision still after a year after surgery, I have nothing but compliments. Dr. Slack made sure I understood the situation, the options, the pros and cons, and expected results and risks. Lens placement in the eyes continue to be perfect and I've had no problems. Dr. Slack is extremely caring and easy to talk to, and made the complicated world of opthamology understandable to a lay person. The importance of Dr. Slack's skill came home to me recently when a friend had severe complications in cataract surgery from a different opthamologist - nightmare. Two thumbs up for Dr. Slack, can't recommend anyone higher!
