Dr. James Edward Stanislaw, MD

Fantastic. He has always been very thorough with me and thoughtful. His method for the knee injections is much more pleasant than what others have done. He did a good job of explaining what was going on in my arm after I had injured it. Have seen him multiple times for different injuries and he has been excellent. He listened well on this visit.

Great person! Did a amazing job with my surgery and after! Definitely got me where I needed to be very quickly, which is healed! 2nd time I had to see him with 2 different surgeries!

Don't waste your time with this guy.Won't listen to you.Talks down to you. Sprint over 3 hours before. I was seen came in room just started talking and would not listen to me and just left No treatment Don't waste your time.

Over 3 weeks ago I called EmergeOrtho in Lenoir, to make an appointment for severe pain in my hip, with Dr. Stanislaw (whom I had seen before as a patient). The girl told me I would need to bring in any imaging and/or reports for him to look at, before they would make an appointment. I had other facilities mail my MRI and Bone Scan cd’s, along with all reports, put them in a clasp envelope addressed to Dr. Stanislaw from me, including my phone number and birth date, and dropped them off in Lenoir 2 weeks ago. I explained what it was for to the girl at the counter, and she said she’d give it to Dr. Stanislaw. I never heard anything else from them. I went down the mountain today to Lenoir, to pick up my packet, since I need to get something done, and they obviously did not want to help me. I told the girl at the counter who I was, and said I wanted my records back if they weren’t going to help me. It took her over 10 minutes to find my envelope containing my records, still… unopened. She told me the reason it was never looked at for the past 2 weeks, is because it had no instructions on it, and they didn’t know what to do with it. Are you kidding me??? Why couldn’t they call me, as my number was on the envelope, if this was the problem? Are they really that mentally deficient in this office? Is this all the better they take care of someone’s medical records, seeing how it took over 10 minutes to find them. I once held Dr. Stanislaw in high regard, but will NEVER be back to him, or EmergeOrtho, due to this incident, and will seek medical care elsewhere, at a place that is serious about caring for their patients, and not making excuses.

I understand that this is surgeons office; the staff from check in to check out were extremely helpful and some were very knowledgeable. However, the surgeon was very late, very short and gave me the perception my knee pain was not a problem. I have since (in 2 weeks time) gotten a second opinion and a MRI. I am scheduled for a knee cartilage clean out in 7 days. Please, always seek a second opinion if you are not happy or satisfied. I am so glad I did

extremely pleased with the whole visit from check in to check out. I was very impressed with the staff that took me into my room. The ladies were extremely helpful and pleasant. Was very happy with Dr> Stanislaw he took a great deal of time to educate me and he provided several options in helping with my knee pain. I would definitely recommend him for any bone problem

Dr came into appointment unprepared. Hadn't reviewed my new patient paperwork, family history, symptoms, recent xray or MRI. He was ready to dismiss me within 15 seconds. He wanted to tell me my symptoms and talked over me when I tried to speak. He told me nothing was structurally wrong and I had no buisness seeing a surgeon. I switched to his colleague, who ended up doing surgery for multiple structural issues. If you want to waste you time and money for a real problem and be made to feel inferior, this is the Dr for you!

I visited this guy hoping he could help. After several appointments, injections, physical therapy, and finally surgery, my joint is no better than when we began. He likes using terminology to make it seem he knows what he’s doing, but he obviously doesn’t. Couple years later, I ended up having surgery for the same issue in a neighboring town and now feel and function good as new. Unbelievable the difference between a doctor who knows his profession and one who thinks he is the profession. Avoid at all costs!
