Dr. James Peter Wigand, MD

The bottom line up front: this Dr cares!!! He cares about his patients, listens intently and ensure you fully comprehend his guide. He called me twice at 4am prior to surgery to ensure I was well and then visited me in pre-op prior to surgery. Who would do that except an amazing and caring person. He is the best

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I am a new patient to the practice. I was scheduled to see Dr. Wigand. The front desk staff was extremely rude and unhelpful. I was never able to see the physician, as the front desk refused to honor my appointment because I would not provide them with my full social security number. I did provide the last four numbers, my license and insurance cards for identity/billing verification. That was not good enough “for their system”. They were unwilling to provide any other solutions or accept my solution to enter all zero’s and the last four digits of my social. Most computer systems (even the old ones) recognize zero as a number. Awful patient care! I DO NOT recommend this office.

Love the Dr's straight forwardness when talking to you. He lets you know just how it is. Also, I love the fact that he takes time to listen to your problems. Alot of Dr's seem to rush you out of their office these days. That is what many of my friends tell me about their Doctor. Thanks for you the help you have given me over the years. Staff is also very helpful. Keep up the good work.

Have never had a doctor spend that much time with me reviewing tests and talking about the issues that brought me into his office.

I have been Dr. Wigand's patient for more than 7 years and he is without doubt the most caring and agreeable doctor I've ever had. I would gladly recommend him to anyone. The two poor reviews written here earlier are very obviously by the same person and are questionable at best. I certainly do not have any trouble communicating with Dr. Wigand---we hear each other just fine.

I have been a patient of Dr Wigand for over two years. He has helped me where others have failed me. I find him to be very attentive, professional and caring. When I read the previous two reviews, my impression was that the person with the problem was not Dr. Wigand but the reviewer. I have recommended many of my friends to Dr. Wigand and will continue to do so for anyone needing the services of an outstanding endocrinologist.
