Dr. James Allen Zachary, MD

Dr. Zachary is very thorough and caring. I was shocked to see the few negative reviews about him, and some of the statements made in those reviews are completely false. He has always gone above and beyond to care for me and other patients that I know see him as well. We've disagreed about things and "bumped heads" a few times over the years, but were always able to discuss things to a reasonable compromise that ultimately benefits my care and that I found agreeable. He has a great sense of humor, and always listens to everything you have to say as well as taking your thoughts into consideration when choosing a care plan that suits your needs. In regards to Peggy, I personally did not care for her very much, but she did do her job well even if I didn't care for her demeanor/personality. She is no longer with Dr Zachary, he has new nurses now who I am slowly getting to know, but they seem very nice so far. I would highly recommend Dr Zachary if you're in need of an infectious disease… specialist as he definitely knows what he's doing. This man even takes time during his lunch break to remove litter left in the parking lot! Not only does he care for his patients, he cares about the cleanliness of the whole facility and is doing a small service to the earth, picking up after inconsiderate people who litter. He doesn't have to do it, but he does anyway. He's also been known to stay late after he was supposed to be gone for the day to address any messages or requests that were received throughout the day rhat hebwas unable to get to sooner so that his patients get what they need for their care as quickly as possible. He will even call you directly himself if he's particularly concerned about something in regards to your health. I could go on and on, but I hope you can understand that he is excellent at what he does, cares about your health and overall life situation to come up with care plans that are specifically tailored to your needs and ability. You may not always get what you want, or agree with his choices, but I can assure you his decisions are always made with your best interests at heart.

One of the worst Doctors I have ever had he seems to think that he is in control of your healthcare . Listen buddy you work for us we don't work for you. Total Pill Pusher, a little too touchy feely with his patients I don't think his lover Scott would appreciate that. His Nurse Peggy total B_tch she walks around as if she is a Queen . Doesn't look very healthy at all. This couple was made for a community clinic neither of them would do well in Private Practice. This idiot just cost me over $600.00 for not providing me with a prescription I ask for. Best endeavors to both of these morans.

When someone has an urgent health situation to talk to him about, he never return your call and doesn't bother calling your specialist physician to discuss your health issues with him. If you are lucky you might get a call back from his ignorant nurse '' Peggy".

This is a man of the greatest compasson and love for his job. When he took me on as a new patient i knew this was finally the right dr for me and my treatment. His nurse Peggy was outstanding and would rather have the 2 of them cloned to treat any world wide care then have mediocre care given to you because that's who your insurace has on thier payroll. These 2 gifted humanitarians are the greatest blessings in my life and to all who have been blessed to be cared for by them

In my 20+yrs in actively working with doctors as a patient, I have never felt the need to give props. That all changed when I went under Dr. Zachary's professional care. He is a consumate credit to his craft. What sets him apart is his exceptional people skills. He engages you in everything that concerns the patient's health. How very refreshing to have a Doctor at the top of his game with a carIng personality to boot. In the final analysis, we all want to feel like we matter.

...if I could, I would definitely do a "Happy Dance" for Dr. Zachary. Although I will never be an active outdoors person again, he treats me as though I am as able-bodied as anyone. He has been a true blessing to me. Talking with him during office visits helps me as much, if not more than the medical care and advice. If not for his expertise and empathy, I probably would not be here to write this review.

He is a good DR. with a good heart , but lacks knowledge in some areas of medicine , I suggest continuous education for him and all other physicians , we all humans and we all forget things but we always need to learn and review old , present, and look for new medical science updates.

I recommend this physician to any and all patients who have HIV/AIDS. Office is very professional, bedside manner could not be any better. He treats his patients like they were his closest family and has a wonderful way of making us feel as though we are his only patient - even though he has many. Diagnosing and treating my condition has never been wrong as long as I've been with him. He is very thorough and truly loves what he does . . . and it shows.
