Dr. Jamie A Lipeles, DO

They have PA’s illegally practicing without doctors present. When I went to my appointment, at their Carson St location, I was seen by a HORRIBLE PA, Jessica Utech, and there was no doctor on the premises at all! Jessica was completely incompetent! She was also very irritable, even though I was extremely polite to her. I WAS THE LAST APPOINTMENT OF THE DAY AND SHE WAS IN SUCH A RUSH TO LEAVE THE OFFICE THAT she would not answer any of my questions. They were out the door real fast, and when I walked up to her to ask her if I could MEET THE DOCTOR before he does the invasive procedure on me, she SHOOK HER HEAD, said “NO!”, and PUT HER HAND UP TOWARD MY FACE , and said “get your car off of my lot!!! " as I was walking away to leave. Wow. ZERO COMPASSION! She really needs some oversight at her office. She should be fired for the way she treated me. The next day I called my insurance company to find out if she had submitted for the a non invasive procedure that she said she would, so… I could make the appointment, because I had a feeling she did not submit it, and I was right, she hadn’t. After being on hold with my insurance company for over a half an hour, I was told that she definitely did not submit for the non invasive procedure. I then called her office and spoke to a Sam, and explained that I wanted Jessica to submit for the noninvasive procedure first, so I could see how the doctor handled the lesser procedure, before I get the invasive procedure she wanted me to get. Sam said would give the message to Jessica and call me back. Eventually Jessica submitted for my appointments with Dr Lipeless… Then she proceeded to do something I would only later find out. She schemed with the manager to make me think I was going to get to see Dr Lipeless when they were never going to let me see him. They scheduled me for an appointment, I waited another month, went to my appointment, at their Hawthorne location & waited in their stifling hot and filthy waiting room. They called me back, asked me for urine, and then sent me back to the waiting room. Then I get a call from a blocked number from Cynthia, the office manager of all their offices, who told me I was banned from their clinics. (I had confirmed my appointment 2 days prior, and checked in online the day before). I asked why. They said "the doctor made a complaint against you". I told them I have not even met with a doctor yet, only a Physician's Assistant. Cynthia, insisted that a PA was the same thing as an MD. She was 100% certain about that. Wow. That should tell you something. No wonder Jessica is illegally practicing without a doctor in the Carson office. Jessica and Cynthia’s scheming to make me think I had an appointment with Dr Lipeles, when they were never going to let me see the doctor, set my health care back 2 months - all because Jessica Utech didn’t like that I wanted to ask her questions about the invasive procedure she tried to push on me, when she wanted to rush me out of the office. They wasted my first appointment, and second appointment with them, and a month of waiting for each one, had me sit in their Hawthorne waiting room for no reason. (Where they had NINE urine samples were sitting out with the caps off on a counter). They could have easily told me in advance they weren’t going to see me, but Jessica and Cynthia are petty like that and thought it would be fun to trick me into thinking I could see a doctor. They have no respect for their patient's time. Frankly I think I dodged a bullet by not letting Dr Lipless do any procedure on me. Oh- Jessica also wrote in my chart that she did a pap on me and the results were normal. She did **NOT** perform a pap on me at all!! I left Dr Lipless a hand written note in an envelope and left it with Stephanie about the truth of what really happened with Jessica Utech, but it sounds like the doctor is not in charge here- this woman Cynthia is. What a horrible place this is!

My daughter, who is a freshman at in college, had an emergency and met Dr Lipeles at Cedars Sinai Marina Del Ray. It was scary for her but Dr Lipeles and the entire staff were wonderful. It was reassuring to know she was feeling safe and cared for as I was too far away to get to her. Huge thank you to Dr Lipeles and the staff at Cedars Sinai Marina Del Ray!
