Dr. Jan Allen Becker, MD

I have been Dr. B's patient since 2009. During My 1st annual physical he suspected I had lung cancer. That was in April 2009. He was correct. He is astute. His suspicion was correct. I had a Lobectomy in May 2009. I have been Cancer free since. I tell everyone Dr. B saved my life. There are only 5 stars, but I give Dr. B 10 Stars.

I'm about to change over to another PCP after 10 years. They don't take debit or credit cards which is slightly annoying but the issue that has changed my opinion of the office is one of politics. I had a typical appointment this morning and am asked at the front desk to sign a political petition to ban guns and weapons. I found this to be insulting and pushy. As a former Marine, I don't think this is professional or necessary in a place of business. A patient may or may not believe what you do in the political arena but those issues should be put aside when you walk into your doctor's office. This should be done outside on their own time and not in a medical office. Regardless of feelings, opinions and political affiliations this should be done on their own time and not in a medical providers office.

My Husband was sick so we went to a cardio Dr who tested him for everything and found nothing. Dr Becker discovered he had afib and he helped us so much :) He helped us get in with a cardio Dr he knows, and soon after, hubby was able to get surgery and now he feels so much better. Dr Becker was very supportive emotionally through it all.

Very Good, down to earth Doctor

I cant say enough about Dr Becker, he is "OLD" school, he gets to KNOW his patiants and remembers them, not just a number. He has handled my family since 2005 and I cant be more happy, it is a bit of drive to get there but worth it as I know I will get perfect care. The staff is alos friendly and outstanding, they work with you not against you and DO CARE. You dont see that today. Reminds me of the 60's & 70's growing, about the only thing he doesnt do is make house calls and come with the black bag. I highly recommend.

Dr. Becker has been the primary physician for my family for the past 20+ years. He is extremely caring, attentive and takes as much time as needed for each and every patient. He is quick to recommend a specialist if he feels it is needed. His diagnosis are accurate, and begins further procedures with less-invasive first. His staff is attentive and caring, and work well with Dr. Becker. The only time any member of my family has left him was due to his not participating in a specific insurance company. But we have always gone back to him. Appointments are quick and easy..usually no more than 1 or 2 days out. Emergencies will be accepted, when necessary. We highly recommend Dr. Becker for anyone who is seeking caring, prompt and knowledgable medical care.

Put me on several medications without dicussing side effects. Had a severe negative effect on me. Dr. seemed indifferent.
