Dr. Jan Elaine Gavis, DO

GREAT DOCTOR

An excellent Dr. I been going to her for more than 10 years, she's not only through, but a very friendly and op en person, not too many doctors have a sense of humor and she spares all time necessary to answer any and all concerns. The best dr I've seen in 20 years.

I'd love to know where Dr Gavis is now practicing. The office has gotten even worse. I left two messages abut a prescription I needed, and no one called me back. I have a hard time calling from work, and at lunchtime and when I get home, they are always closed. I called from work and got a message that my call would be answered in 10 minutes--I couldn't wait that long. I called my drugstore to get a refill, and the next day the pharmacist said they had faxed a refill, but hadn't heard back from the office. This is unacceptable! I am looking for a new practice, but would prefer to stay with Dr. Gavis.

Love Dr. Gavis. Her staff, not so much. Does anyone know if she has opened a new office and where it is?1

Very good bedside manner but we have had nothing but trouble with the writing of prescriptions. Office staff not very knowledgeable. Tried to tell me the prescription I wanted refilled was a controlled substance, when it was an antihistamine. Hard to get hold of anyone on the phone. They don't always call back.

I feel very fortunate to have found Dr. Gavis, due to her great "bedside" manners, compassionate care, and ability to critically think through issues. She is a rare find in today's healthcare environment and it's great to know there are still doctors around like her. The only negative about the office, is the staff, which I don't believe is any reflection on Dr. Gavis. I don't believe she has anything to do with their hiring, retention, etc.. However, they aren't always the most professional and definitely do not deliver with a smile.

Dr Gavis is the best doctor I have ever had. She really spends time with me and has been by my side during a difficult diagnosis. I higly reccommend Jan and her practice.

Dr. Gavis is one of the few Doctors that has a beautiful bedside manner but mostly she is knowledgable and supportive to her patients. She is one of a kind.

office staff is not very good. appointments are always 2 weeks or more when made and or cancelled by staff following day. Love dr gavis but cannot stand the office staff.

Dr. Gavis makes me feel very relaxed, and never, ever rushes through an appt. I have, and would again, recommend her to friends/family. She's very caring and thorough in her examination and diagnosis. When it was time for my daughter to go to a family doc instead of a pediatrician, i had no problem taking her to Dr. Gavis.
