Dr. Jan Eddy Mathisen, MD

Mathisen has been very kind and understanding each time we talked with him. My son has JME and Mathisen has helped us navigate this journey for 2+ years.

We were referred to Dr Mathisen about 2 1/2 years ago and we have loved him and his staff since first meeting them.. He is very knowledgeable and more than willing to share any information and answer any questions you might be having will your child's illness..

We love Dr. Mathisen. He explained my daughters seizure disorder and talked with me about treatment options. His nurses could be more prompt with answering voicemail messages and calling in medication. It has been over a week of messages and my daughters medication has still not been called in by the nurse.

He accurately diagnosed my child and got him the treatment he needed in the blink of an eye. He and his staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of during our visit and after the initial visit my child was seizure free and has been for almost 4 months now. He spent appropriate amount of time with us, explained things to us in terms we understood, showed us diagrams and examples to help us understand and answered all of our questions. Highly recommend!

A great doctor who really made me understand my child's condition. His manner is very appropriate and he has a kind disposition. Much different than her previous care provider. We give him an A+++++

He seems to be an excellent doctor and we appreciate the treatment he provides my son. He is a good listener and takes the time needed during appointments. When we have an issue between appointments, he and his staff are very prompt with their responses and in presenting options. Highly recommended.

We were very pleased with our visit with Dr Mathisen. When it's your child your putting into the hands of a Doctor, you have to feel good about it, and he explained everything so well to us that we hardly had any questions. He took plenty of time with us and made us feel better about the situation. I really liked his staff also. I would absolutely recommend Dr Mathisen to someone else.

Dr Mathisen has been with my son (now 20) since birth He is an excellent Dr. His bedside manner is better than ANY other Dr you will ever meet... Keep it up Dr mathisen ...You are the best...

My daughter was diagnosed with Dystonia in 2007. Dr. Mathisen figured it out when other staff could not. During this time my daughter has had some occasionalstorms but Dr. Mathisen has always been quick to figure her out. I know shes a challenge. He even takes time to listen to our concerns and makes us feel comfortable when leaving which is very important to having confidence in the one who is charge of your childs healthcare. He's nothing flashy but always gets the job done. The flash is I dont think I've have seen him wear a Doctors coat. Its not important to him, your childs issue is the challenge to him.
