Dr. Janet Grace Williams, MD

Multiple ObGyns misdiagnosed me for years while my health continued to wither. Seeing Dr Williams was a turning point and I don't think I'd be alive still if not for her skill and compassion. When medication improved but did not fully resolve my condition she did not give me a hard time about performing the procedure that would definitively end my suffering. She did a great job and I finally recovered to the best degree possible after what I had endured. 5 years later, I am still thankful for her every day. She is not arrogant and dismissive like the many doctors that got it wrong for almost 10 years while my life slowly drained away and 100 things went wrong with my body as a consequence (the reason HMOs are scary and endanger patients with an intrinsic financial conflict of interest); that difference in attitude makes her a priceless treasure as far as my whole family is concerned. Many doctors have the knowledge and skill but no humility, wisdom or heart so they make errors of… arrogance and dismissal such as ignoring what the patient says and relying on lab tests in an ignorant way despite overwhelming signs in symptoms (and defying well-known clinical caveats -- you never use RBC parameters to check iron levels). I paid the price for this with near a decade of my life spent in suffering and much of my prime wasted. In the end I was vindicated, but by then my iron levels were so low that it took 2 years of religious supplementation for my iron/ferritin levels to recover. She was part of that healing process because I couldn't fully recover until she took the problem out completely. This doc has it all, the knowledge, skill, wisdom and heart. If you're tired of suffering and being told its just aging or hormones or depression when you know deeply it isn't any of those things, I'd encourage you to not give and try to get a visit with Dr Janet Williams.
