Dr. Janice Teresa Shelby, MD

Dr. Shelby misdiagnosed me, didn't take my very serious symptoms seriously. She gave me the wrong medications. She didn't listen, care or follow up when I was in crisis. I went to another psychiatrist a week later and the new doctor had me in the hospital the same day. Beware- this doctor supposedly specializes in child and adolescent psychiatry. She doesn't know how to treat adults even though she says she does. I wouldn't take my dog to her, much less my child or myself.

I would not recommend Dr. Shelby. She misdiagnosed my daughter and put her on drugs that gave her very serious reactions. This resulted in my daughter losing her teaching job, after 18 years of teaching. It's taken a year to get her off all the drugs and back to normal, but without a job.I tried to explain to Dr. Shelby she was misdiagnosing, and she would never give me credit for any knowledge, even though I was the mother and I have a masters in psychology.

Hands down, THE best.
