Dr. Jason Robert Bortnem, MD

I had been seeing Dr Bortnem since moving to Florida in 2021. When I signed up for FHCP he was assigned to me. I have never been late or missed any appointments. I arrived 5 minutes late to my last appointment but by the time the receptionist got around to signing me in it was 15 minutes. He refused to see me. I asked the receptionist to explain that I was only 5 minutes late but was checked in ,15 minutes late. He didn't care he said he would not see me that he was too busy. There was one person in the waiting room. He called me into an exam room and started yelling at me accusing me of bad mouthing him in the waiting room which was a total lie. I told him in my 45 years of being an RN have never seen a doctor act so unprofessional I worked 18 years in a doctor's office with some of the best Ivy League trained doctors and have always seen them treat their patients with dignity and respect no matter how late they were we squeezed them in. I had already paid my copay and asked… him if he was going to see me as a patient. He walked out of the room and sent a staff member to do my vital signs. He then discharged me. If you get stuck with this doctor you better make sure you're on time.
