Dr. Smith is the best! He takes his time with his patients and will try conservative treatment before operating. I was previously treated at the Neuromedical Center and will NEVER go back there- they wanted to do surgery on me on my first visit. I am so glad I found Dr. Smith to take over my care!

I trust Dr.Smith he has done 2 differnent lumbar discectomies on me. Very friendly. caring and courteous. Before surgery and medicine he tries PT and the shots. Last resort is surgery. Happy is my surgeon. I have referred him to family and friends.

I reside in TN, but I had to meet Dr. Smith when I was out of town in Baton Rouge. He kindly searched for the proper doctor in my home town for the future treatment: I really appreciate that!Although the doctor seemed perfect, office staffs seemed not to care about patients and they didn't correct my name in the first place: that caused me all hectic issues for pharmacy pick-up, insurance, and so on. I requested to correct my name when I fill out 10 pages of forms right before seeing a doctor!Other than that, meeting Dr.Smith was pleasant and easy.

My father saw him for treatment of pain related to degenerative arthritis in his back complicated by prostate cancer. When my dad told him he wanted some pain relief so that he could go duck hunting this fall, he actually ROLLED HIS EYES. My mother could not believe his attitude. Good thing I wasn't there, because he would have gotten an earful from me.

Another Dr on a follow up visit contradicted what Dr Smith told me about my condition. The visit was very brief and his manner very matter of fact and not personable.
