I have known Dr. Jason Koh for almost 25 years, and I have been as uniformly impressed with his skills as a surgeon, physician, and person, as everyone is by his remarkable medical credentials (Hopkins, Harvard, Hosp Special Surgery, Cleveland Clinic ), and I say this after two knee and one shoulder surgery. and multiple referrals to other physicians. I started to write about the first time I met Dr. Koh, and how impressed I was with his curiosity and intellect and realized if I told every story about why Dr. Koh has been one of the physicians I haved always trusted, I would be writing for days. Dr. Koh in some sense acts the way a great consultant does, always using each interaction to teach their client (patient) something. It is not surprising that his career continues to blosoom, give all that talent, curiosity, drive, along with patience. My family and I are lucky to have Dr. Koh as one of our trusted physicians, and NorthShore is lucky to have Dr. Jason Koh on staff.

I recently had my six months anniversary appointment with Dr. Jason Koh following my total shoulder replacement operation. I would recommend Dr. Koh without any reservations. He is a very kind person, a good listener and I am very grateful for his care. Over a period of several years, I had suffered from gradually increasing pain in my left shoulder that interfered with all sorts of activities of daily life as well as swimming, playing tennis and tai chi. I had visited other doctors, tried steroid shots and physical therapy, which helped a bit for a while, but it kept getting worse. My primary care physician recommended Dr. Koh, for which I thank her. What convinced me to proceed was when Dr. Koh said that the number one benefit of the operation was the elimination of pain. That was my experience. I have recovered much more range of motion than I had before the surgery and expect to recover more as time goes on. I was a bit apprehensive as I had never had surgery or stayed… overnight in a hospital before, but everything went very smoothly. Thanks are also due to my physical therapist who kept me motivated.

Exceptional doctor and surgeon. A shoulder replacement was performed by Dr. Jason L. Koh. I had osteoarthritis in the shoulder and every day tasks became very painful and hard to dress and perform every day tasks. Since the surgery I have returned to my daily routines, as if I had never had osteoarthritis. I am extremely grateful. I very highly recommend Dr. Jason L. Koh. The surgery was performed on a late afternoon, released the following evening. I returned to work after 2 weeks. Dr. Jason L. Koh will take good care of you.

Dr. Koh is a superior surgeon who successfully repaired a tear in my rotator cuff. Yet, what distinguishes him as a great doctor is the time he took to prepare me for surgery and way that he followed up on my progress during physical therapy. I was confident in his skill and amazed at his ability to listen and address any concerns I had throughout the process. I now have full range of motion of my right arm and would highly recommend Dr. Koh to anyone who wants a top-notch surgeon.

I am a 61-year-old male. I completely tore two muscles in my right shoulder and tore the bicep tendon in my left shoulder in separate instances a few years apart. Dr. Jason Koh, M.D., has now completed rotator cuff repairs on both of my shoulders. I am back to playing ice hockey and softball, and can once again throw a football over 40 yards. Dr. Koh and his assistants are all caring, courteous, and conscientious individuals that make you very comfortable. Everything went well with the surgeries, and everyone involved with the surgeries were also terrific people, from the surgical team to the pre-op team to the receptionists at the hospital. They all made one feel comfortable and relaxed at a time of great stress. I would emphatically recommend Dr. Koh and the entire staff at Northshore University Healthcare to anyone requiring orthopedic care.

My son had shoulder instability in both of his shoulders. They repeatedly were dislocating. Dr. Koh performed one surgery last year when my son was 11 years old. He just completed the other shoulder this year. Both surgeries were done with great care and attention. I have complete confidence in Dr. Koh and his knowledge of shoulder repairs. (Dr. Koh likes to check in with his patients to make sure that they are healing completely!) I would highly recommend Dr. Koh to anyone and any age who needed shoulder care. I cannot say enough great things about him, his fellows and nursing staff. My son now can be active again without worrying about injuring his shoulder thanks to Dr. Koh! I would give him 100 stars if I could!

Dr. Koh has been excellent with my orthopedic care for a knee surgery that is not all that common. He took the time to review many past surgical records, x-rays, MRIs. He answered all of my questions, provided excellent information and was wonderful for post-op recovery and through the many months of rehab. He is an excellent listener and takes the time to understand the patient's post-op goals. I'd recommended Dr. Koh in a second. Thanks, Dr. Koh! Thanks to your team, too!

Doctor Koh is a very knowledgeable and caring doctor. I got his help for my knee problems and always think that I chose the right doctor for help. I feel very protected by his care and expertise and know where to go if I have similar problem again.
