Dr. Jason Walters, MD

I’m writing this review to prevent others from experiencing what I went through by allowing Dr. Walters to perform surgery on them. Do Not have any surgery performed by Dr. Walters. Dr. Walters was supposed to perform a simple Meniscus repair. Following surgery I was in excruciating pain. I called his office and he never responded to my calls. I had to go to the ER because I bled through the bandages and was in severe pain. I called and left four messages that went unanswered. I had my post surgery visit 10 days later. When I told him my knee did not feel right and informed him of my symptoms he dismissed them saying it was normal. I knew it was not bc I had meniscus repair on my other knee which was fine after 6 weeks so I knew what to expect and knew the symptoms I was experiencing were not typical. He wouldn’t address any of my concerns regarding my ongoing pain and failed to diagnosis why I was having additional symptoms. I went back another 5 times complaining of the same… symptoms and he discarded them as well. Three months later and still in excruciating pain and I was unable to bend my knee. I requested that Dr. Walters send me for an MRI. The report stated I now have osteonecrosis (dead bone) due to lack of blood & oxygen supply to the tibia, femur and knee cap as well as severe nerve damage. I now must undergo major surgery involving a total knee replacement along with removal of dead bone . Because he affiliated with Broward hospital he is protected by FL sovereign immunity laws which only requires him to obtain minimal medical malpractice insurance of $200,000. So if he he causes permanent injury or you lose a limb due to his neglect or worse die it protects him from any responsibility. DO NOT GO TO DR. JASON WALTERS.

I broke my leg in a motorcycle accident. He fixed my leg. I am better now.

I met Dr Walters in the hospital when I broke my ankle. He took me to surgery the next day. 3 months later I am back on my feet and pain free. Excellent caring doctor with good bedside manner who also tells it like it is.

I saw Dr Walters for shoulder pain. He was able to diagnose me with a rotator cuff tear. He performed surgery and now I am pain free. I am thankful he was able to help me through the process. I am thankful for this doctor.

There are so many great things to say about Dr. Walters. I went to see him for shoulder pain that I was having. The thing I liked the best about him is that he actually LISTENED me. He took his time to explain everything and I didn’t feel rushed. I also liked that fact that he wasn’t try to push me into quick surgery (like the previous doctor I had seen). I would definitely recommend Dr. Walters to anyone that needs an orthopedist. One other thing- his office is really nice.

Dr. Walters was wonderful - very understanding and helpful and related to my problems. His staff was equally friendly and accommodating! Only wish I could have been seen closer to my appointment time after arriving a few minutes early with complete forms in-hand.

Awesome Surgeon!! He answers all my questions, is very patient with me when I do not follow his directives, and understanding of my concerns. This is rare in a doctor and I appreciate this very much! I don't like why I met him but I am glad I did.

Dr . Walters preformed surgery on my left knee , i dont know what else to say but EXCELLENT AND SUCCESSFUL . I will DEFINITELY recommend him !! Dennis Reid
