Dr. Javier Antonio Vera, MD

He is sooo rude. And he is always late. I do not recommend him. I heard he practices at the grants prison now. I dont think the prisoners desrve the kind of treatment he will give them

It may not be his fault as schizophrenia is hard to diagnose. What I read is if you have this you can't have BPD. May not be true however. Will do more research on it. Lacks compassion and makes you feel uncomfortable.

Doctor Vera is an excellent physician and wise. I admire and respect him. His observation about me is correct and other professionals were just trying to appease me.

Feel like he looks down on his patients without really knowing if his assumptions about them are true. I got left stranded without medication for several days which had a negative impact on me. He gave me a personality disorder diagnosis which my new psychiatrist and therapist disagree with.

Happy with my experience with Dr Vera but he constantly moves from place to place. I have now lost track of his present location and could use him at this time. He was quite brash but I did like him.

This Dr. decided to walk out of the clinic Health Services LLC in Abq nm with no notice to the office or patients what so ever. I walked in for my appointment to find out he had left 2 months prior. I never received a call from anyone to let me know what had happened so I could reschedule or what ever. I was also told the office manager had deleted all the patient records after he left.

I have never been in the company of a doctor or medical professional, for that matter with such a low opinion of his patients and high opinion of himself. There is a lot to be said about this man's lack of a pleasant bedside manner. Dr. Vera lacks the compassion it takes to be a doctor of main stream mental health patients. He really should stick to the addicts and methadone recipients. His callousness and indifference has no business helping any other type of patient.

Felt as if he was trying to prove himself as an intern. Dangerous to try to get help from him if your a combat veteran.Relentlessly insults your intelligence. Ptsd symptoms even worse but he got paid

Dr. Vera left me feeling like little more than a cash cow, and this was only after he left me waiting in the lobby at Epoch for an hour and forty five minutes after my scheduled appointment. Better to be a cow than a ghost I suppose. After a rushed psychiatric assessment he suggested I up my dose of Zoloft. When I voiced my concern about withdrawal effects upon cessation he told me it was unlikely I would ever be off them. He then threatened his own version of cessation by telling me he would discontinue all my medication if I didn't seek help from Epoch's substance abuse counselor. Want to know the kicker? That individual doesn't accept my insurance! I'll take my business elsewhere from now on.
