Dr. Jay Arthur Cherner, MD

Been having some persistent GI issues, and Dr. Cherner truly took the time to listen to my issues, and come up with a treatment plan. Down to earth, but still incredibly knowledgable and I could not have asked for a better experience. Office staff was terrific as well.

He is rude to his staff. Very unorganized, did not wash his hands. Talks down about staff members and business partners to patients and other staff. Greedy. Did not listen to my issues. His wife( office manager) is rude, smells like smoke.

I have been suffering from IBS for long. Multiple docs saw me and never gave me the proper diagonisis. Each doctor just gave me pain meds. Dr. Jay was the ony one who spent a lot of time with me trying to ask multiple questions and interpret my problem. Since I have had IBS for quite a while, I was suffering from fissure pain too. The docs who treated me for Fissure just gave me pain meds. I was kind of frustrated about not getting better. Honestly, when I went to Dr.Jay due to my husband's compulsion, I had no confidence that he was going to make me better. When he asked me questions, I sort of answered without interest. However, after my first visit my opinion changed. In the second visit, I went to him in severe pain. He gave me Zifaxin and treated me. Guess what, I got cured completely. After being in pain for 8 months, I am finally pain free. Dr.Jay is a God sent doctor for me. I haven't met him yet after that to tell that I am feeling much better. However, I wanted to… share this review as someone else might benefit. I would highly rate Dr.Jay. HE IS THE BEST!!!!!!

Great Dr. sometimes you have to wait but he spends the extra time and is great at determining what is wrong. I have been going to him over 15 years and there is not another Dr. that can compare

I guess that means he's good but it's kind of one and done. If you don't keep pressing for information you won't get it.

I saw Dr Cherner for the first time after my PCP detected serious liver problems. Dr Cherner fit me into his schedule immediately, evaluated my condition extensively and provided the highest level of professional and personal care. It's a shame that all medical professionals don't provide their patients with such outstanding attention and comfort. Absolutely the best doctor I have ever known - and an extremely nice person.
