Dr. Jay Edward Olsson, DO

Dr. Olsson is a great physician! He listen and also take out time to educate you regarding you symptoms and plan of treatment. Always has a smile and great bedside manners. Office staff is friendly as well.

I was referred to Dr Olsson's office from my physical therapist. I was skeptical about going since the other PM doc wanted to give me only opioids for my hip pain. I spent 18 months barely able to walk, sleep or sit comfortably. Dr. Olsson assessed the issue provided support and after a few shots I can say my pain is 99% gone. The 1% he has no control over. He does not push pain meds but works at finding a long term solution to the problem.

Horrible human being that could care less about your pain. I have a severely damaged hip and spine. Recently had spinal surgery and have a reoccurring infection that is currently being treated in the hospital. I'm in constant pain. I can't get any good sleep bc I'm constantly waking up from pain. I have to spend most of my time laying on my good side which becomes very painful from laying on it so much. My hip ribs and shoulder. Of course the bad hip and my back I cannot spend too much time on either. I'm miserable. He could care less! At least at one point I was on a very mild ain med, it barely worked but better than nothing. He pulled me off of it bc I wasn't going to have surgery. Not bc I don't need the surgery bc I do, just no surgeon will do it. I no longer needed it, according to him. I'm so depressed and I feel like I'm being tortured! He's a horrible human being and only cares about watching his own behind!

I have been a patient of Dr Olsson since 2014 and have had nothing but the best care. I see the doctor and only see PA,s for basic follow-ups, I can request to see adr a Olsson at any time. From the reception to PA or Dr I have been treated with smiles, courtesy, professionalism, compassion and within the time of my appointment. I have no complaints thank you all for your help and care!

Only got to see the p.a and total time there was an unacceptable 2 a a half hour wait I am hopeful next visit a month from now will be quicker all I want is a spinal stimulator and I am being told it will take as long as the beginning of 2019 I hope not the pain meds are not working as they once did that is why I want this procedure God with all this pain i pray it can be done sooner I am on disability and can not afford to keep paying all of the co pays and then after the first of next year it may cost more and I will not be able to afford to do this At all

Overall unprofessional. The DO wanted the $$ more than helping me.

You only see Dr Olson on th fist visit. From then on you are seen by his PA's whom I found to be very arrogant and nor cooperative

I was assigned Dr. Olsson at Holmes Reg. Med CTR. Melbourne, FL as a pain management doctor for heart surgery (CABGx5). He sent an underling nurse to speak with me, I threw him out of the room after he told me they only give certain meds so I "won't abuse them"! You know my chest had just been split in two, so that was a professional answer right? I answered truthfully (yes, once in awhile I smoke marijuana) to all questions upon my first office visit and told him I was having panic attacks possibly brought on by an ability to breath full breaths still. I asked for 2-4 tablets of Xanax, Per Month, and 2-4 tablets of nitroglycerin for angina. He knows I do not have insurance and that I do not have the luxury of a Cardiologist (not since the surgery), a Psychiatrist, and a Primary Physician(s) I told him I don't want to get these meds on the street and pleaded with him for the 4 tablets each month. He refused. I asked for my records. I asked to stay with the original payment plan. I… asked him to fill out a questionnaire for S.S. and every response was the same. No, I don't care. He basically told me to eff-off. Avoid this quack.

I got there as a new patient, three months to get in. They took my money, and then did not have time to take care of me at all. Doctor was at the hospital (two times in 3 hours??). If you don't have time to treat a patient, then do not take their money and pretend you are doing your job. Staff laughed at me when I called back. They lied to me. This is abuse, breach of contract. Contractually, it is illegal to rip people off. So, months later and a bunch of cash less, I have to start from scratch. Reported this to my credit card company, Walgreens' and reporting to the medical review board as well. He has horrible reviews that I failed to see prior to scheduling

THIS DR. IS AMAZING. TAKES TIME TO LISTEN , SUGGESTS, HAVE SEEN HIM FOR MANY A YEAR. HE IS PATIENT, COMPASSIONATE, AND THAT IS WHAT A PATIENT WANTS. DO NOT HESITATE TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH HIM. ALSO, HIS OFFICE STAFF IS VERY CARING AND PROFESSIONAL.
