Unimpressed.... Poor bedside manner. Waited an hour plus - each appointment. Unnecessary tests! Won't return!

My son is a high school football player,during his physical it was discovered he has low heart rate. We have large history of heart disease in our family. I as a mom went into panic mode. Dr. Schapira was so patience. He answered the many questions I had,making feel as if everything would be fine and it was. Thank you for being so awesome.

I have been privelaged to know Dr. Schapira for more than 25 years and I can honestly say that if not for him that I would no longer be on this earth he is beyond any doctor I have known he is a saint in a white coat...I thank God every day that I am alive he has given me those extra years I am now 89 and can honestly say I have never felt better

Dr. Schapira is doctor to all of my family (aunt, cousins, extended family), and he saved my aunt's life. He is firmly proactive, and his bedside manner is a "10", if we use "10" as a high mark. I love this man, and he is a rare doctor indeed!

Front desk girls are not professional. The phones are NEVER switched over from the answering service on time (office opens at 9:00am) almost always 20-30 minutes late ! If you do choose to leave a message with the answering service, call backs are usually done at the end of the day...

At one time when i started seeing him there was no one i would have rated more highly. But it was clear in about 2001 that the burdens of practice or perhaps just plain rountine had made him less interested in it. My main problem is atrial fibrillation and it was never treated fully successfully. Indeed, my medicine to slow my heart rate was increased to such an extent that i developed dizziness from a slow heartbeat and ultimately fainted and had a concussion. He brought an electrocardiologist into his office who is rigid and not helpful. When I made comments about her to him, I was told I had not followed her instructions, but whatever was in her notes, these were instructions she did not give me. The night I passed out and developed the concussion she was the night doctor and basically told me, barely conscious, to get lost. Thanks to Dr. Schapira's partner Dr. Herold I have a pacemaker which has regulated the problem and I have a new dr., am on the right medication, and a… 12 year problem has been painlessly alleviated, which could have happened long ago. His practice is great for retired folks on medicare which i am not but it has grown too large and insurance has depersonalized it. I am happy i left.

He is the kindest and most knowledgeable physician I have ever known. He was able to correctly diagnose my illness after two other cardiologists missed my problem. I could've died if not for Dr. Shapira.
